asma123 04-21-2021 09:24 PM

Still no cheque here but they did send me insurance reminder due on may 22. Currently paying 190 and it says it should drop to 148 so that’s something I guess :fuckyea:

haha13 04-21-2021 09:41 PM

1 car $283

$203 from ICBC. $40 from BCAA
Which represents 11% of 2020 insurance cost. 243 ÷ 2,146

OriginalJC 04-22-2021 11:52 AM

$460, two cars

jaretron 04-22-2021 12:00 PM

$374, 2 cars.

MarkyMark 04-22-2021 12:16 PM

$236 for my F150

snowfarmer 04-23-2021 08:28 AM

$430, 1 car and 1 motorbike and TBF, it really felt like I was being pillaged last year on my insurance costs. I did have a couple of tickets come home to roost on my insurance costs though. Glad I got a bit unpillaged with my cheque from ICBC this spring. The difference between my insurance costs last year and this year is stark (in a very good way).

nismodrifter 04-23-2021 10:31 AM

500 - 2 cars

mikemhg 04-24-2021 11:34 AM

1 car - $222 back today.

It's crazy how ICBC was going through insolvency, and now they're handing out cheques.

My renewal will be the lowest rate I've had in quite some time now as well.

What a difference in a provincial government makes.

RevYouUp 04-25-2021 08:53 AM

$235

09 Honda Fit - basic insurance only
99 Civic Hatch - basic insurance only , cancelled after 9 months

JSALES 04-27-2021 02:13 AM

$260, 1 car

My wife and I both got a cheque. $283 for me, $247 for her. Should I get a cheque for each vehicle we insure? Curious I’m about the Datsun as it usually is only insured part of the year.

All cars under a policy owner comes on one cheque.

For those in the know, I thought insurance rates would be adjusted to reflect new policies May 1 and for people with existing policies that started prior to the changeover, their rates would be adjusted for their first payment post May 1.

Am I completely wrong?
I had both my vehicles monthly insurance payments withdrawn from my account a few days ago and they weren't adjusted.

Thanks

Had the same issue with my may 1st withdrawal. Friend says if you go on the icbc website it doesn’t take effect until late may. So I guess I’m out more money..

68style 05-12-2021 07:06 AM

JDMDreams 05-12-2021 07:19 AM

Maybe I don't have the adjusted rate? But I'm paying $500 less than last year and I totally don't think it's because of increase in experience.

$31 or $32 with comp + collision I believe

$38 with $1M + Comp + Collison (May 6)

$27 with just basic (May 8)

$63 2 day comp + Collison (today)

I should probably consider plating now LMFAO
