If I swapped my plates from one vehicle to another, can I still get the low mileage discount or no?

I recently got my renewal notice from ICBC and BCAA. Both have gone up with BCAA going up by about $250 per year. I reached out to Stratford for my optional and Stratford was almost half the price of BCAA. I was quite surprised as BCAA has typically been cheaper than the other third party insurance providers but Stratford will be earning my business this year.

So, I happened to notice this little blurb in the FAQ section on the ICBC website:
-------------
Q: I have three collector cars. Can I switch one set of collector plates among vehicles?
A: Only if you have a collector multi-vehicle plate and you own several collector vehicles, but drive only one vehicle at a time.
To qualify for a collector multi-vehicle licence plate, you must be the registered owner or one of the registered owners of the cars and they must all:
be registered in B.C.
be pre-approved by ICBC to share the collector vehicle plate
have collector status, and
be either all cars and trucks or all motorcycles.
Find out more about Collector vehicles.
--------------
I followed the link... but zero mention of this under the Collector Vehicles information area... so I called the program directly and asked about it because I actually have 3 different cars with collector plates on them currently... and it's true! You can get 1 plate and he told me it says something unique on it about being a floating plate and whenever you drive a car you put the plate on... and the ones not being driven are automatically on storage insurance... so basically you pay a reduced rate for all 3 cars when pooled.
He told me just to go to an autoplan place for a quote BUT he also told me most likely they will have no idea what I'm talking about because there are only 238 active policies like this in all of BC haha...
I'm going to follow up and check it out, see what the savings are.

Another covid rebate coming: https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/icbc...-rebate-cheque
I was pretty happy getting the first 2 rebates. I think for this one, I would have been fine if they bank the money and not increase my rates again sometime down the road.

My god, what a turnaround ICBC has been.
This is literally one of the first times I've ever seen a government come in and actually make concrete change that directly benefited my pocketbook.
Lowest rates I've ever paid in my life for insurance here in BC.

I would be interested in seeing ICBC's annual report when it comes out to see if all these rebates put itself in an even worse financial position

All these "Rebates"
What's ICBC up too? They're a business. Businesses don't hand out money. Especially insurances

Since when are they a business? It's always been a crown corporation since its inception.
You can request the financials through freedom of information if you like... though it's not really necessary, David Eby has been extremely open with the numbers in the media.

First of all, that's a CoV thing - has nothing to do with ICBC/Province.
Second, it's for model years 2023 and up, so not applicable to anything existing today.
Third, it's not even confirmed.

How so? They’ve done a massive rate reduction and 2 Covid rebates..
Has your bank or cell phone provider or any other business you use done the same while collecting federal assistance?

Everytime they give money out. They claw it back. Disguised it elsewhere

I know its popular to rail on ICBC and think its all a conspiracy, but ICBC is a provincial entity. The new "charge you to park on streets" is purely a City of Vancouver thing.

I can ask my friend owns an agency in Alberta haha… will report back
[edit] my friend said (at least for his particular company) in April 2020 they had a retention program in place where if customers actually called in to complain about their rate or say they’re going to switch elsewhere they could apply a small discount to their account but it wasn’t automatic.
He said June of 2020 there was an automatic discount applied (percentage based) but he can’t remember how much it was, wasn’t much… but since then nothing.
