I used to hate long drives until I got a car that has good noise insulation (acoustic/double paned glass), comfy suspension and adaptive cruise control. Now I can drive down to SF and feel great.

i havent found a car that can negate the horrible cement disaster that is the i5.

Luxury cars are better, but still not great vs the i5. Anyone tried a lincoln towncar (latest model year before they discontinued it)? me kinda wanty.

While the drive itself wasn't too bad, it was kind of brutal on my car. Rock chip damages all over the windshield and bumper, something even went right through my clear bra and took off paint near my rear fender. My black intercooler was all chipped up with the metal showing through.

As much of a blast it was to take my car through the windy roads on a long road trip, I've done it once, never doing it again. lol.

That’s where you and I differ. My cars covered in rock chips, my windshield has 3 or so spot-cracks in it, had to cut up some of the oem undertray due to ice packing etc. Both fog lights are now broken too. I wear those like a badge of honour. Though kind of stupid like cauliflower ear

A friend of mine invites me to drive from Shenzhen (North of Hong Kong) all the way to (crossing into Laos) Bangkok Thailand . That's a 33 hour drive, and I don't think I'm up for that challenge. The longest I've driven was from Vancouver to Portland.

I'm sorry that this video is still in 360p. I have been talking with youtube all day trying to get this resolved. Youtube is also not letting me re-upload, but I wont stop trying to get this video to the 4k quality that you expect from us.

gearsandgasolineYouTube has been no help in getting our latest video to process into full resolution. However, after 5 reuploads, I managed to get one into full 4k resolution! Head on over to YouTube to check it out!
I might watch it again in hd cause my eyes hurt the first time around lol.

What an amazing trip by these guys! The footage of the Rockies in BC and Alberta, and the Pacific Highway is beautiful.

Been enjoying these on Saturdays. Worth watching on the big screen.

Awesome. I'll check this out. I did a 3500km road trip in the m3 two summers ago and loved every minute of it. Would love to do another big one.

twitchyzero 05-12-2019 08:04 AM

they should really have the shorter guy driving the miata though, that looks brutal for 11,000 km

Badhobz 05-12-2019 12:10 PM
