So I was on the Sea to Sky highway and this oncoming truck blasted a rock at my windshield, which created a pretty decent crack that isn't just dime-sized.
Now the problem is, I checked on the dashcam and he doesn't have a front license plate, but he has his (local) business name and phone number on the side of the truck.
ICBC will cover minor rock chips if you have comprehensive; all you gotta do is go into a local ICBC Glass Express Facility. Read this article for more info
If they can't repair it, you'll pay $200 deductible for a new windshield if you're on a $300 deductible comprehensive plan. Unfortunately, if you have a $500 deductible, you will pay the full $500.

Wouldn't you prefer it to hit the windshield rather than the A pillar? Cheaper to repair or replace a windshield than to deal with paint damage or a dent.
Not 100% sure but because it was a rock it’s not the other vehicles fault. If something like a tool or loose cargo came flying at you and you have proof yes their insurance would have to cover it but a rock isn’t really the drivers fault.
