User experience with e-golf or nissan leaf

Looking to transition to a full electric car for a DD. With the 5k government incentive, the e-golf and nissan leaf SL looks like a good option for my budget.

Anyone here can chime in on user experience? It seems like the Golf will give me more money for the interior but in terms of reliability and resell value, I assume the Leaf will be better.

I don't see too many e-golf around in Vancouver, is it because it is low in supply?

Last I heard, theres a waitlist for the e-golf and nissan leafs are selling at MSRP as they are hot cakes.

Reminder that the incentives are finite so keep that in mind if you want to put your name on the waitlist/deposit. The government just topped up 10mil into it, so that might last us 1/2 a year. :lawl:

e-Golf is basically sold out for every model year so they are pretty hard to get.

I had a chance to drive the Leaf recently, it's nice quiet the usual Nissan downfalls (infotainment system, 360cam, cheaper materials) but it's huge inside with a huge trunk.

Seating position is a bit weird you sit tall and high and the steering wheel doesn't telescope which can be a problem depending on height.

I'd be shocked if it lasted 6 months as it was at 10 million at the end of June and was almost gone on Monday. With all of the Tesla Model 3's that are selling right now, i'd be impressed if it lasted until the end of the year.

i've got the Model 3 long range and would suggest maybe waiting until the short range comes out as it is an amazing car (gas or electric) to drive. Lots of fun to drive.
