Cant help people that refuse to help themselves. Boasting about street racing here will absolutely impress NONE of us that want the majority of us to be seen as a positive, and responsible group of enthusiasts.
Big lesson to be learned here. Choose to learn it.

Interesting, R&T has the top speed at 139 mph which is 223 km/h.
Must be a broken speedo to get 230 km/h.

‘99 Prelude
0.33 drag coefficient
1.75m x 1.315m = 2.30125m2 frontal area
Power = 0.5 * air density * drag coefficient * frontal area * velocity^3
0.5 * 1.2 * 0.33 * 2.30125 * (63.889)^3 / 1000 = 118.824 kW (159 hp)
Doesn’t factor in rolling resistance, but it’s generally negligible at higher speeds.

Got pulled over by Cain while on my motorcycle. Reminded me that I had illegal taillights (which came OEM from BMW) and missing a few reflectors. Also let me go ticket free as I didn't have my bike registration on me lol.

I was pulled over last year on my bike by Cain and he gave me a box 2 for the typical no reflector, tail tidy, exhaust. However, for the most part, it seems the bike community hasn't been hit as hard with vi's as the car community.

Must be a broken speedo to get 230 km/h. | If they top out at 223 that's probably why they didn't bother with a limiter at 190. At least the early 5th gens definitely don't have one... I've been told.

Make sure your trailing arm bushings aren't torn or heavily cracked and no play on suspension in general. They won't test emissions nor plug in scanner if no cel.

Im curious, is there any significance to those parts/area you mentioned?
Im assuming you've had experience with this in the past?

I work at a shop that does 10+ out of province inspections a day so i'll give some insight
the inspections are visual inspections, nothing gets taken apart and we do not do anything with the vehicle other than road test for noises, check to make sure the HVAC works and all switches work, banging on something to make something work will not make your car pass that part of the inspection, i'll break it down the grey areas as best as possible since some shops may fail for something that other shops wont and its up to the judgement of the inspector
------------------------------------------
Suspension
Squeak in the suspension but everything is tight - Pass
----------------------------------------------------
Window Tint
Front window tint - Fail
No window tint but glue is still on the front windows - Fail
Window stops half way because your too lazy to remove the glue - Fail for the glue residue and most likely, the trim on the edge of the window will get sucked into the door when we try to use the window
Clear film on the windows - Fail
Just because you paid $500+ the day before to get the best window tint possible doesn't change the fact that your car is gonna fail and we don't care
There can be nothing on the front windows
-----------------------------------------------------------
Brakes
1.8mm of pad material remaining is the pass marker, if you have 2mm it is a pass, most shops might try to fail you for that
Brake pulsation - Fail
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lighting
Missing amber reflectors on the front and red reflectors on the rear - Fail
HID in a regular headlight housing - Fail
Cracks/Moisture in the lens - Fail
------------------------------------------------------
Exhaust
Any leaks in the system - Fail
Modified exhaust - Fail
---------------------------------------------------
Shops that do the inspection are not obligated to do the repairs, if you come to my shop with a VI and didn't do anything to remedy your issues because you thought you were right, I will gladly take your money and then tell you that you weren't

| Can you clarify this one? Is literally any aftermarket exhaust an automatic fail? Even if you've still got proper cats and a normal exhaust volume?
