Something like this didn't have to be posted, but here we are.

Actually he posted a reply in the comments of my video. Nothing constructive but he definitely saw. You were definitely right about the mocking :p

someone just needs to gather facts and eyewitness accounts then go to ctv news and give them the story.

LOL the first pinned comment is his friend, who actually had something decent to say.

Looking forward to Moist Skids responding to this thread.

That was the purpose of this thread. 15 pages in, nothing constructive. We have the media connections to make this happen.

But on the flip side, like I've said many times there are those like Badhobz who are actually stock and got VI'd and those like Skunkworks (and the rest of us) who are lightly modified (OEM+) but are still breaking the law.

And there's cars like Reggie's and Jackpot's where they know they're pay to play and can't speak on the issue.

If he didn't do it, then fucking clear name and clarify who was actually responsible for this in the first place.

If people want to drive their cars in Vancouver without feeling like there is a target on their backs, then forget the macho "snitches get stitches" bullshit. Pride should not be the root cause of fucking literally everyone else that enjoys their car. Unless said people would like to be responsible for undoing nearly two decades of police giving some leeway to car enthusiasts.

It hasn't been this bad since Jimmy Ng was killed in 2002. But what I do I know I am just an old fart.

JSALES 10-15-2018 10:31 PM

Someone should just post this kid’s address on social media and see how he likes it

No one even died in this situation. Maybe an ego, but that's life to the generation that lives and dies by social media fame.

I got my license when things were good, and the only time someone got a VI was for something really stupid. And that was 2008. I should get a van or something.

paulwychen 10-16-2018 01:24 AM

Got hit with a VI while driving near Commercial drive a a week ago, and on the notice the copper decide to write "full inspection at Subaru" meaning I cant even go to a tuner shop FML... 2016 STI with R400 titanium catback, lowered, and have a cf gt spoiler.... and honestly my car is actually not that loud... Been pulled over in the past month by RCMP and NWPD... not one said anything other then; did you drink? whats the rush? and what exhaust are you running? ... but this specific VPD motorcycle cop have to give me this stupid blue note... on thanksgiving day...

JDMDreams 10-16-2018 06:30 AM

^^ what are you going to do? I thought dealers don't do vi

keifun 10-16-2018 07:06 AM

All this talk about VPD motorcycle cops giving out VIs is the reason why my S15 is just sitting at home. I was hoping to take her out while it's still sunny these days before she goes into hibernation:okay:

Dragon-88 10-16-2018 07:07 AM

No problems here in COQ, cop pulled over my buddy 2 weeks ago, just to admire at the built motor in his Aristo.. LOL
Buddy was speeding but they never mentioned anything..

LOL I'm reading the comment thread between you and him.

If he's so innocent, we've always said, he's welcome to prove us wrong. He doesn't have to, but based on screenshot evidence across the multiple groups, all fingers point to him as allegedly doing such action.

The car community doesn't have to be so divided. It just takes people that are willing to listen and people that can deliver a clear, concise message.

And yeah I agree with you, he has his own form of media distribution. Why doesn't he use it?

Says who?

bigzz786786 10-16-2018 09:31 AM

Going to Gastown tonight, wish me luck!

According to that vehicle inspection list, there are no Jaguar dealerships that do it, maybe if i do get pulled over, then i can ask them what to do in that case.

Because all he says is "LOL don't believe what you see on the internet". Hard to do that when the proof is there.

Does anyone has screens or a link to this proof? I'd like to have a peak at it..

All dealers have a shop they work with. If you take it to them for anything they don't do there, such as body work, they outsource to their shop.

I think if you had to take it to a dealer because the cop wrote it down, you just take it to the dealer and they will send your car to one of the shops they work with.

Unfortunately, you'd probably end up paying more than if the officer just said licensed shop as you don't have to deal with the dealer as a middle man and just take it directly to a shop.

If you really go by the "book" it means you cant do nothing to your car. Which means there will not be any car culture anymore. What is the point in Revscene, and all the other car forums then. Who wants to go to a car show in the summer/ spring to look at factory cars?

What the VPD is doing with all these VI is trying to kill car culture. That is the bottom line.

UnknownJinX 10-16-2018 10:49 AM

It appears that this is just Vancouver area for now?

I may make a trip to Vancouver in November and hopefully, my car doesn't get a ticket. Otherwise it's gonna be a PITA to do the catted mid-pipe.

Sounds dumb that they are judging cars based on wheels. Guess it's good that both sets of wheels I have are OEM RX-8 wheels.

This makes me wonder if VPD is using this one particular incident as an excuse to "get back at" car people. Maybe they never liked us very much and now some broke the final straw.
