I think it’s pretty clear that absolutely nothing has been adopted |
I read through the petition and this caught my eye: "If everything that we add to our vehicles were illegal then why allow this product into North America." Because laws here in North America is a lot harder to reinforce in other countries like China where these products are made, and even if they are made in North America, they market them as off-road only so anything is legal to sell. Not a good argument IMO. I saw that a lot of people have signed it. Not the best example to really start petition IMO. If these change.org are actually worth anything, at least have an example that's more apparently stock or street legal. |
Like someone already said, this pretty clearly isn’t the car we want representing the reason the VI system is flawed. 100% that car is loud as fuck and pisses most people off when they see it. Even tracks would probably not let it out there. |

I think those RWB/LB cars are meant to be track-only, and not for public roads. :lol |
I don’t see why fender flares would be illegal. Throw on oem exhaust, wheels and suspension and pass ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
or just don't drive them in vancouver. i think since this whole mess started I've only driven into town once. if the VPD's mandate was to get modified cars off the road - it's worked on me. |

the bullshit part to me is the sound meter testing. it's not an closed environment, what happens when a Harley drives by or an 18 wheeler using its engine breaks. there going by highest rating recorded sound and its probably doesn't reset the results. also whats stopping these crooks from putting the microphone tester 2 inches from your exhaust exit?...there's no rules on condoning how far it should be for testing, its basically a craps shoot. |

Not VI related but some VPD prick was camped out 3/4 of the way down Boundary hill toward Marine today doing radar... I mean really? Expecting people to maintain 50 on that gradient of a hill? And jumping out to nab them on a vision obscured corner in slippery conditions? Stupid is as stupid does. I didn’t get busted (was going up the hill) but they’re going full retard on that one. |

And if anything this is probably the only time when it's justified... |
I don’t live in the area but I have been going up and down that hill now and then for 20 years and I’ve never seen them there |
I see them there every once in a while, I mean, that pull-out is specifically for police so if someone isn't paying attention they deserve to get dinged. |
I havent see them there in a while but they used to always be there when they first put that pull out there. The sign even says police parking. They usually target those going much faster than others. |

I've been noticing police SUVs that say traffic response unit? Or something along the lines of that. Is that the new vi bois? But then I also see ones marked cvse? Or is that for commercial vehicles? |

They should be the ones confirming VI's are legit. I bet they'd facepalm, hard, at the sight of VPD's tactics. |
