It was an estimate 40 km/hr over. No laser confirmation. Most of us were watching it go down. It was one of our salesmen's customers. The guy should fight it. The guy passed Cain and that was grounds for an excessive speeding ticket because apparently passing someone means excessive speed. Maybe he was speeding maybe he was doing 20km/hr over like everyone in Vancouver. IDK though as I didn't see it. The guy didn't want to argue. I think he's just handing the ticket to his lawyer. I just saw the aftermath and heard what the salesmen, customer and some lot staff said that were talking to Cain and the other officer. |
Stumbled across another car for sale with a VI: modified 135i https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...052943882.html |
“I have never had any problems with it while owning it.” Proceeds to list several problems with it while owning it ... |
And the pictures are useless. I don’t understand why people post shitty for sale ads. |
^ Cuz the battery is dead and he can’t move it out of his tiny garage |

i prefer to start with a stock car and build it the way i like. I wouldn't put half of those parts on my car |

I agree with the sentiment of that article and that's even prior to this whole VI blitz thing... I've always felt RCMP was a lot more accountable and that the city police force (be it Delta, VPD, West Van, New West or whoever else) were more poorly trained and more likely to be biased. I have no facts to back that up with, just the feeling you get the way they talk to you whenever you deal with them. Like most the time RCMP guys talk to me, as long as you're cordial with them and reasonable they just warn you or whatever for the most part... but city guys are like from the same bootcamp as CBSA, just want to fuck with you verbally and power trip. |

Also.. https://www.citynews1130.com/2020/02...y-uber-police/ Things like this will change, the RCMP isn't enforcing UBER. But when the mayor gets his own police force, he will get to choose what they do. "Police officers and special constables under the Police Act may also be bylaw enforcement officers" |
^ I know, said it in previous threads, the only reason the mayor of Surrey wants RCMP out is so that he can better control who and what they focus their investigations on. It's all a power trip. |
Some guy in a red 98 corolla just got VI'd, there's a video floating around Facebook with Cain shoving the sound measuring tool into the exhaust lol |
can someone share the video please? is that enough evidence to complain against Cain that he's literally shoving it up our ass |
A 1998 Corolla can have a worn out exhaust, bad wheel bearings, shot struts, broken headlights, rust out..... just because it’s stock doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve a VI. In fact, unsafe vehicles is kind of the reason why there is Vi’s. The fact it’s a 21 year old corolla, it probably hasn’t had any Maintenance done... ever. Lol |
while we're making random assumptions with 0 evidence, based on those canadian tire wheels i wouldn't be surprised if the kid straight piped it. https://i.imgur.com/uW7DuQS.jpg |
The biggest mod that car probably has is Yosemite Sam floor mats. No one is paying someone to weld on that car. |
Look at that poor fuck sitting in his red Corolla wondering where he went wrong with his life choices... good job Officer Cain :) |
I can’t fathom how any self-respecting law enforcement official could, with a straight face, tell this chubby broke ass college freshman driving a faded Corolla on Cambodian Tire hubcaps, that his fuel sipping miserly heap of reliability is a menance to society, while holding up a dB meter to his face and saying that his rusted out exhaust is hurting people’s eardrums. I don’t care if mayor whatever of Vancouver secretly told you to crack down on modded cars cause of rich whiny Shaugnessy pricks donating thirty batrillion zillion to your party last year. I just want to be able to drive my car in Vancouver without being harassed by a power tripping cop who wants to seize every opportunity to stick his karaoke mic up my tailpipe and tow my car. |

I understand the sentiment of Officer Doofy and his magic Mic, but you put some respect on karaoke microphones. He needs to get a life, or get reassigned to do real policing. |
