on the viaduct yesterday afternoon pretty empty going maybe 85 and a motorcyle merged in ahead maybe 1000ft...as i got closer realized it was vpd traffic unit so I cooled it back down to 55 lol he was simply doing his job and not powertripping, passing each car and glancing in to see if people were on their phones /coolstorybro |
You can pretty much guarantee on any nice dry day, Cain 'n co will be out full force. And they seem to love rolling around Kingsway. |
Ahh Texas )) |

It is supposed to simulate real world driving conditions or something like that. My friend was pulled over and Cain asked him to rev his car to 7000 rpm with the DB meter against stuck in the tail pipe. the car is turbo'd and registered a 92 DB but he was still given a VI for the modified exhaust. |
It seems everyone is confused about it and it’s been mentioned many times. Years ago when we used to do Thursday night meets at ironwoods, a couple rcmp showed us how they do it. Pretty much hold the meter one metre away, then side step 45°, then raise it one metre above the ground, and hold your rpm 50% of the beginning of redline This is *not* how they describe it in whatever laws someone will quote, this is just what the rcmp demonstrated |
Would you be able to fight that VI since it shows Cain shoving the dB meter in the exhaust and shows he is improperly trained? |

So what is the actual law in proper method for testing exhaust db? |
Cop: "You cannot drive this vehicle in sports mode, it runs a bypass to the exhaust - it makes it straight piped. You can't do that. You can buy the car like that, but you can't drive it here" (Dashcam video) L O L https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ed291072ee.jpg |
These bastards should be at the corner of Georgia and Burrard. They can VI all those exotics that goes past that intersection every 5 mins. Larini/ capristo/ novatech exhaust are loud as shit and straight up obnoxious sometimes. Instead they go after some poor fuck with a Corolla. Go tax the rich. |
Spotted a black modified 240 pulled over by a traffic cop on 49th and Kerr. |

That being said, out last night with 15 or so ///M cars, they all had the “optional m sport exhaust” and when they’re in race mode they are loud as fuck, especially with the exhaust popping and cracking and 100% deserve tickets for driving in track mode in the city |
Just got pulled over in my 2018 Audi RS3 and got a ticket for "Unnecessary Noise" because my stock exhaust was too loud for him. I told him probably a dozen times it was stock, and he took pictures of it and asked what brand the "RS" stamped into it was.. I said it's Audi from Factory... RS... I'm driving an RS3. Still gave me the ticket. I just realized it was the same cop as above that gave one to Reggie C's friend in the above picture. |
That sucks man. I know my focus RS would get a ticket for my stock exhaust too. It’s madness right now |
I just looked it up, and "Unnecessary Noise" is going to add 3 points to my otherwise clean driving record. I can't believe I can get 3 points for literally driving my car down the street in a perfectly legal manner. I'm obviously disputing this. |
^ Personally I’d be filing a complaint as well as disputing the ticket A quick google search shows that this particular officer loves noise violation tickets... https://www.pressreader.com/canada/v...81552288261384 |

To the stock rs3 and m3. Please! Send in a complaint and take it to court, don't let it just get ripped up, go all the way to a judge. |
