Gotta head down to the CBSA office on Main. Found out about this thread after I installed my exhaust. 
Maybe I'll just park at my office down by Olympic Village and walk over.

I used to drive by that station twice a day on a regular basis for work and back.
It's just the same few officers within the entire force taking pot-shots. Most officers wouldn't even bat an eye about your mods. Most of them have better things to do.

I was at Lambo Van few weeks ago and the Barnee the purple SV with an aftermarket exhaust was revving outside. VPD cruiser pulled up beside the owner, didn't care he was revving, had a friendly chat and drove off.
Majority of VPD cops don't care.

F all snap crackle pop tunes/new lambo sounds/new car sounds with all their popping. Stupid. Guy with M4 in my neighborhood has his car popping and burbling at speeds of 30km/h. Ridiculous that car manufacturers think thats cool.

A customer of ours (younger…. Of course) was complaining that the McLarens don’t do it at all regardless. (Stock)
Customer: hey man. Why can’t you guys make the pop pop pop.
McLaren engineer: we don’t do that here. If it doesn’t make it faster or improve the car itself, we don’t bother. Save the crackling for Lambos.

^Ever since I changed the exhaust on my Z (7years ago?) the car would fart and pop. Then I fuel injected it and it got worse. First I thought it was really cool, and it was because my 140hp car was a true performer. Lol. Eventually changed the full exhaust again (manifold to muffler) and added a turbo charger. The popping increased (despite tuning to keep it down). Now rocking 230hp, this thing could take down a McLaren with the noises it makes.
Made my exhaust manifold last winter and installed it. Noises gone. Apparently it was an exhaust leak  So much nicer to drive.
