Quick, everyone trade in their sport sedans and coupes for V6 minivans! Toyota isn't fucking around with the new version of the 2GR getting 300HP.

Badhobz 10-01-2018 07:27 AM

Hakkaboy 10-01-2018 09:27 AM

So how many stock cars have been issued VIs? Other than the Mas reported here

westopher 10-01-2018 09:50 AM

There was a bone stock e82 128i that was VI'd.
Skunkworks car is lowered one inch, other than that, I believe everything is factory.

jpark 10-01-2018 10:21 AM

wtf is there to even vi on a stock 128i. Honestly knowing myself, if this happened to me while driving a bone stock car i'd prob lose my shit on the spot

If this is the black one, VI'd the same day as Skunkworks, it has an exhuast. And the guy did a pull under Nordstrom. The owner is pissed cause they cop said he HAS to take it to the dealer. So he took it there and the dealer didn't know what they were supposed to do with it.

westopher 10-01-2018 10:48 AM

Ah my mistake. I saw photos and the info on FB that it was I modified.

J-Chow 10-01-2018 11:01 AM

Looks like I'll be rolling around in my sienna more often in downtown :lol.

Haven't received any VI's before,"knock on wood" but what if someone had a good buddy that works at an ICBC approved shop for vehicle inspections, could they just simply write off the vehicle inspection as legal, without charging you the fee?

Just saiyan. Btw all my cars are stock lol

TouringTeg 10-01-2018 11:37 AM

I'm curious about the process as well. Do you pay the shop plus a fine?

I have only had a VI where I had to bring it by the police station to show an officer I had fixed the issue (tire protruding past the fender).

No fine, just have to pay the shop the fee to perform an inspection. Each shop might have a different rate.

maybe even a stock Civic type R will get VI'ed

twitchyzero 10-01-2018 12:32 PM

stock tesla model 3 has already been pulled over in the US for the giant tablet screen

CorneringArtist 10-01-2018 12:46 PM

Most dealers don't even have someone certified to perform VIs so it's just making you waste time to find one that does.

freakshow 10-01-2018 12:54 PM

A VI should be paid for by the VPD if the inspection comes back clean.. that would resolve most of the issues and complaints about VIs

Plus the cost of towing, and cost of lost wages having to take a day or two off work to deal with this.

Assuming your car is all stock, aren’t we innocent until proven guilty? Isn’t the onus on THEM to prove I’m illegal? Not just to fine and punish people and make us dig ourselves out of the hole

AzNightmare 10-01-2018 01:13 PM

lol, looking at those minivan pics reminded me of this:

I spotted this at the Richmond Oval about a month ago.
Someone in here must know who the owner is.

Slammed life!

nismodrifter 10-01-2018 01:56 PM

I've seen a very nicely modded Odyssey in Surrey recently. Looks like its blue on gold Work wheels, anyone have pics by chance?

Without actually inspecting the car? That's how they lose the ability to perform inspections.
