Well it’s only 1 of 2, so i still have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

Interesting. Haven’t heard anything regarding this.

BIC_BAWS 12-05-2018 02:21 PM

Received confirmation from another person who had a friend at that exact event.

westopher 12-05-2018 03:52 PM

Who cares about this duke kid?
The issue is adults with badges and guns have a vendetta on anyone who has the same hobby as some dipshit kid that was a meanie to them in Instagram.

It's because there's another confirmation that ties into this whole story - in which I'm not going to post source. But I can confirm what you are saying is no longer just our assumption.

I've heard through the grapevine via a coworker with a second job with him that corroborates that DM. He's taken no responsibility and fed that lie that it wasn't him.

SkunkWorks 12-05-2018 06:34 PM

I don't think anyone actually believed for a second that Duke didn't do it.

Normal course of action for someone being accused of something they didn't do is immediately, publicly defend themselves. None of this bullshit from his buddies feeding us this breadcrumb story over the last few months saying he's writing a letter or making a video to defend himself.

Now can we move on?

JSALES 12-05-2018 10:16 PM

I'd still like to see his "video" he was supposedly going to make proving his innocence but it won't happen

JHatta 12-05-2018 10:45 PM

This is all part of the plan...

to add on to this story, the reason why he got a VI in the first place is because he disabled all his brake lights, except for his 4th flashing brake light. Thus deserving a VI.

I bet buddy didn't mention that in all his fb posts.

Although not impossible, I find the vendetta theory a bit unrealistic.

This whole thing looks, smells, and tastes like a classic gravy train. And if I am on the right track, it probably will not go away anytime soon unless there is a significant change within the department or the responsible party stumbles onto a more lucrative gravy train.

Problem with situations like this is there is usually a supervisor at the organization that either plays along or looks the other way, and in this case, the community is unlikely to generate a meaningful amount of pressure on the VPD for a thorough review of the matter. Hopefully this thread makes its way to someone at VPD who still believes in doing the right thing so he or she can report it to someone who shares the same values but is in a position to make a difference. That or I am wrong and this mess comes to an abrupt end.

And yes, I am fully aware of the fact that there are plenty of good cops out there too, and that many modified cars have no business being on our roads.

We been over this several times in this thread, there is no gravy train! VI payment goes to the place that does the inspection (dealership) not VPD or any police budget.......... they are literally just fucking with everyone for sport under the guise of public safety.

Dbone 12-07-2018 05:24 AM

I think JL9000 is correct.

It doesn't have to fund the VPD. Some guy (perhaps Cain?) has decided the best way to get promoted is to play the numbers game. If he's stuck in the shittiest section of the force then he's going to get his guys to break records with the number of tickets/VIs they give out.

When he's reviewed he can show what a good job he's doing keeping the public in check by the volume of action his team has taken.

Perhaps next he can crack skulls of hippy protesters, or take down as many hookers as possible. Easy pickings.

The VPD became a respectable force when they stopped doing that shit. Hopefully it's just one stupid supervisor and not a general shift back into poor police work.

Precisely. I apologize if my post was not clear.

This numbers generating machine requires minimal effort and zero accountability.

And the Youtuber in here with the Abarth who said he was in direct contact with duke and was going to make a video to clear the whole thing up??

Gents,
What you're saying is pure surmise, we should probably avoid going down the rabbit hole of unsubstantiated accusations.

The more we stick to the facts the more seriously this issue will be taken by the people we need on side (the media, the general public).

Is it safe do drive your modded car yet?

I had to make a couple of stops in Van today, drove my Suburban to be safe. I saw at least a dozen cars worthy of getting a VI, has it all blown over?

320icar 12-10-2018 01:17 PM

Short answer no

Autorice 12-10-2018 01:20 PM
