Just a thought, but maybe invite them to hpde events. It might help them see that not all car guys are dukes and the “illegal” modifications that some of us do actually get put to good use. It might end up like the good ol RtR days which helped pr for both sides
Come on guys, I expected more out of you especially GS8. The founding glory of FWD v8 sedans. The Gran Prix GXP. 255 front tires 225 rear for maximum traction and torque steer.

The problem with this is organizing an event where we have enthusiasts that hate cops for dishing out VI, and Cops who are more than willing to dish out VI. So.... everyone that goes will just leave with a ticket in hand and their car on a flatbed.

Hopefully someone from the media will be there to cover it.
"That's ridiculous. He's a goof, I guess it's for the better that you're not with him anymore"
....followed by "wanna grab a coffee sometime"
What I've wondered is...how does that constitute as doxxing? He could've made his Instagram private and there was hardly any personal info on there to begin with. I'm kind of leaning towards it might not have had anything to do with him at all.

Not surprised. When the police is mandating the inspection to be done at dealerships, what's the point in getting an inspector license when the car that's being inspected is going to be void by the cops and required to be reinspected. All the shops should realiate and not renew their license.
There's a new documentary out which surrounds law enforcement targeting minorities in New York by direction of Supervisors. Interesting watch for some perspective (there's nothing traffic related in this). I just kept relating back to this whole situation while watching.
Those who were wronged were told to either make or were making complaints.
Supervisors telling their grunts to bump stop and frisk numbers up goes back a decade at least.
Honestly i see no problem with it having walked those streets at night. Proactive policing is why hipsters were able to take over Brooklyn. Look back at 1970s and 1980s New York. It was a lawless nightmare of murder, dirty hookers at every corner and real corruption within the department.
Then the cops go out and actually do their jobs, be it profile a bit, but get the scum off the streets, and everyone is up in arms.
You can’t have a city like New York virtually crime free without doing old fashioned civil rights violating police work.
It would be impossible.
Just look at Chicago where they got rid of stop and frisk. Go to the South side and there is a gun related murder every night.

I probably could have been more clear in that the intent of my post was more about making complaints if we're all having this issue with the VI as that's what was recommended in the documentary to those who were wronged on a less severe level.
Supposedly a young batch of officers are being trained by Cain and the other one, around 40 or so officers from different cities, which makes me skeptical to why officers with the RCMP are being trained by VPD officers?
Stock tinted windows? That's a VI.
Non OEM rims? That's a VI.
Slightly lowered? That's a VI.
Loud stock exhaust? That's A VI.

That's OK I'll just go dispu........ Oh right YOU CAN'T FUCKING DISPUTE A V.I.!!!
I wonder if this is part of the reason for the recent increase. Why bother issuing a ticket when someone will likely just dispute it, waste the officers and the courts time for a minimal reduction of fine or a hope that the officer doesn't show up? Just give a V.I. and you cause more hassle and hardship than a ticket can do.
Yep. Saves VPD time as they don't have to attend court. Oh you were speeding... nah here is your VI instead.
