That is totally messed up what if he didn't know that mitsubishi didn't do inspections? What then is the point of having a DIF list if you cant pick and choose from it?
Not in this case but what stops them from pulling people over and sending them over to their buddies shop to drum up business? Quote:

Not in this case but what stops them from pulling people over and sending them over to their buddies shop to drum up business? | Thats the issue here among others. They are still just allowed to make up their own rules on the spot.
I suggest contacting the CVSE supervisor for your area to explain that the dealer you were told to visit doesn't offer the service and you need an alternative.
Heres the contact list. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/dr...phone_list.pdf
Before you go that route though, call a dealer. People told me the same thing about the BMW dealer not doing VIs but both Park shore and Jessel told me that's never been the case in recent memory.
Also, in the same conversations, they told me their were multiple stock, or near stock M/M package cars coming in for VIs, which they obviously passed with no issues, or it would have been illegal to sell them in the first place.

it's not any more dumped than half the examples in here...tires have decent tread too...only angle i can see is lack of working horn
just because it has shitty paint job doesn't mean it deserves VI more than a "tastefully mawded" vehicle

Looks like he has HID's on non projector housing and probably gonna sound quite obnoxious based on those standard street tuner mods and choice of interior 'modifications'.

Lets just say the cop had to ask if my car was lowered. I'm on ohlins with winter tires and clearance for snow so it's pretty much looks oem.
What chafes my ass is my car was never sold during production years in canada by any dealer and yet somehow a canadian dealership thats never sold/serviced one is more qualified to inspect it than any other DIF shop on the list. Face palm. Quote:

Has anyone gotten a second vi after passing the first one and showing the papers to the glorious protectors of the traffic laws.

I've heard of people getting second VI's, but not sure if any of them were
1. Left unchanged after passing
2. Inspected at a dealer like demanded by the officer

DDE just got pulled over on the Burrard street bridge by an undercover VPD. Curious if any VI's were handed out.
