But i think if car registered in BC you are obliged to have one. I remember my friend got a ticket for not properly mounted the front plate (it was under the windshield)
Oh I totally understand it's against the mva. But so is going 51 in a 50. Just annoying that I see a ton of cars without it, vpd nor rcmp have ever cared enough to actually pull me over. Just such an inconsistent thing they are 99% of the time too lazy to enforc cause most of them probably don't care about it. Oh well. Could've been much worse.
I agree that a fine should be placed for people who don't put a front plate on, as it is clearly stated in the MVA (3.011). However, I think it is stupid for cops to ticket someone who places their plates on the side or not dead center.
regarding those DDE folks, I spotted them driving down Kits area after dinner reving at every stop light and gunning it on 4th. These guys are lucky they haven't had their cars impounded yet. DDE loves the cops attention though, it's how they make money off their youtube with clickbait titles/images.
Was it the FRS that got a ticket for plate to the side on that bridge? Can't remember. Any other examples? Anyone dispute those tickets?
At the end of the day, camber settings have a dramatic impact on increasing mechanical grip and promoting consistent tire wear, and remains one one of the most influential factors to a well performing chassis.

Sorry, but when most of your following aren't even old enough to drive, let alone understand what traffic laws are, no one owes you anything.
Crooked cops, my ass. When you post videos of yourself acting like a dense cabbage behind the wheel, expect the cops to watch you with eagle eyes.

You're actually trying to call someone out for posting about getting a no front plate ticket on a thread about VIs?
I mean, at least put some effort into your flaming.
What's the point?
This thread is again, about wrongful VI's. Why don't we start posting speeding tix or illegal U turns?
As predicted, it was a rare occurrence for the FRS and Fiat 500. Now everyone is just clutching at straws, diluting this thread into just general complaing about getting tixs for quick release steering wheels, speeding tix, no side markers, and no front plate.
I got a warning for speeding once and avocados are on sale @ Safeway.

What is your source, to confirm that this is just 2 cars? Do you have statistics? Had you talked with VI inspectors? How come they noticed the flow of scars, including stock one? Or how come that even Cain's superiors noticed VI increase?
Naah, you do know nothing, because nobody knows the scale, except police. The forum is small population of BC and not all drives in Vancouver.
bright/sky/baby blue (whatever the correct color is lol) on this Focus RS was getting towed on hastings and Holdom just now, guessing a VI. didnt look low, more than enough wheel gap, wonder If maybe loud exhaust or his front plate being to the side is what caught the attention of rcmp

Multiple friends have spoken to multiple RCMP and they have been quite clear they aren’t interested in this bullshit. Unless it’s VPD I’d expect it to be related to an actual crime like excessive speed.

The blog isn't wrong, but we're not driving like we're on a racetrack on the streets and your average person (most of road users these days) aren't interested about how much more cornering speed you can have with more negative camber.

chill out
the guy never complained about no front plate ticket, given how it's a 'mod' violation, i think it's appropriate to discuss it here, as is with CVSE violations...just cause it started as a VI thread doesn't mean everything else is unrelated

Yeah, it's all about SLOWING DOWN.
SLOW = SAFETY.
That's why traffic is so slow. That's why speed limits are so low. That's why any time someone goes a bit faster than the posted sign, you got angry mom's up in arms about these crazy street racers.
It's not about making sure your tires aren't worn down to the mesh, or about making sure your headlights are on at night. Cause everybody is saying to be safe, you gotta slow down.
And with all the big SUV's, you don't want people turning faster, cause they'll roll over. lol.

Video proves my point. When two types of retards collide. DDE for being obnoxious children, and the traffic cops for pointlessly disrupting the flow of traffic on a main bridge. Like their efforts will even make a difference in these guys mid-life crisis’, proven in the video of them doing doughnuts probably that same day. Both sides need to grow up and look at the bigger picture.
Alex Choi already nearly has killed a motorcyclist.
Man what's up with the VPD traffic enforcement unit these days? As 3rd party who's never experienced being pulled over in Vancouver (aside from a blatant violation of distracted driving in my younger days), I can't imagine how they get away with this kind of bs.
Meanwhile the few times I've been pulled over by Richmond RCMP over the last few years for various reasons, nothing but professionalism and leniency from them. Got given two warnings (one for loud exhaust, one for speeding but no radar), and the minimum speeding ticket for an excessive, with radar proof. What's up with VPD?

There is a reason why most officers wouldn't want to do the traffic unit, your on the job performance is rated by how many tickets you give. The VPD has the time and resources for that.
