It's that time of the year again!

I'll start off with a topic:

Anyone have experience with custom foot beds? I find my boots comfortable but my right heel is always sore af after. Saw this video and before springing for new boots, might be worth trying them first?

Looking forward to season 2 of skiing.

any advice for buying a used set of skis?
will they be compatible with modern bindings?
i'm looking for regular resort downhill skis, not backcountry.
plan is to buy new boots but used skis/bindings.

Worth the investment.

it'll help your toes with more blood circulation and keep your feet warm. Also aids in arch support, and or fear of falling arches.

Same principle as getting your liners molded.

Whereabouts did you get yours done and how much was it?

I was thinking of getting new boots just cause mine cause a bit of pain after a full day of riding.

insoles.

two options, either go to a running shoe shop such as The Right Shoe. They do custom orthotics for runners. They're close to the snowboard shops on west 4th.

The other option is to do the do it yourself approach. Which I've done with success.

Sole custom moldable insoles. They can be bought in a variety of places. I get mine for free, but you can find them at Marks.

I've been rocking the same pair of heat molded ski boots for ages now and they've been amazing, I assume the same kind of thing is out there for snowboard boots. I also found that leaving them pretty loose the first couple runs and then slowly tightening them worked wonders. If I cranked them down and then tried to blast through the trees first run I'd be in pain right away.

Hey guys, just wondering if you could recommend me an all mountain ski for the local mountains? I am currently riding a pair of Atomic Nomad Blackeye Ti's in 160cm (81 underfoot) It's an awesome ski, and hauls some serious ass down groomer. I am looking for something wider and a little tamer, (something easier to turn when skiing super slow while teaching the kids, (I feel like my ski's need to be skied fast, I don't know if that is because they are really stiff or not or because they are quite heavy) I am 165cm and 148lbs, and can ski blues and most blacks with ease. Some skis that have caught my eye, Head Kore 99 and Rossi Sky 7's

The Rossignol ___ 7s (Sky, Soul, etc) are very good all-around skis, and with the honeycomb tip and tail, very easy to turn at low speeds as their center of balance is closer to the center. Even the Soul at 106mm should be OK on most conditions.

Thanks for the reply, do you have any experience on any of the 7 series skis on the north shore mountains? My only concerns are when I'm skiing with my buddies and want to charge hard, I am concerned that the sky 7's will flap too much. While still researching, I just came across the Blizzard Rustler 9, looks pretty good.
