with todays abundance of pot. its gonna be decent quality.. Everything now is just machine packed.

This! Since a sativa gives you more of an energy high and you can feel it in your body more it's definitely the right place to start. Indica's can mess with your head if you have too much and that's where the paranoia/panic attack scenarios come from. Build up tolerance and go from there.

I had a friend that only messed with sativa whereas it does nothing for me but it depends on what result you are looking for. It's an after work thing for me and I like to completely bake out and watch TV or go online so the harder the better. But I'd never want that feeling if I was out and about socializing.

Kind of funny hearing these stories about people's parents and other old people getting all excited about smoking up now that it's legal.

Fuck, the majority of my aunts and uncles (I have a big extended family) are in their 60's and have been smoking it since their teen years, never stopped. (My mom is in the minority that doesn't smoke, my dad is like once in a blue moon, maybe if we're out fishing he has a puff, but he's not really into it)

Anyways was hilarious at family gatherings in my teen years where my cousins and I were hiding from them while we smoked, all of them were hiding away from us while they smoked.

It wasn't until sometime in our mid-late 20's that the secret was out (I think my cousins caught them red handed once) and we'd all just share with each other from then on.

I have 2 older siblings, bother and sister, I'm 8 years younger. So as we grew up there wasn't much of a bond and in fact we would always get into aggressive fights with each other.. Once I was in my final years of High School. I started smoking weed, got caught one time from my Mom who scolded me and told my siblings.. My siblings then realized we all smoked weed. So we started bonding more and more and have really grown as a family. It wasn't because of the weed, but it helped break the ice. It got to a point we would just meet up in the garage and smoke a joint, Mom would pop her head in ask us if we were smoking and then would just close the door.

so ive only smoked cigars (didnt like cigarettes for some reason) is this something you inhale or just roll around in your mouth like cigars? im really outta my league here...

It's great paying for weed with my credit card so I get aeroplan points as well. Buying weed to get high so and get points so I can fly high

You gotta inhale, so not like a cigar. Start with a very small puff and breathe it in so you can feel it in your throat. That will give you an indication of what it feels like. From there, increase as your tolerance builds. You could also consider a pen and going the vape route as it is much nicer on the throat. People tend to over do it since it's not as harsh and they end up coughing for like 20 minutes because they inhaled too much. Give it a shot and report back

couple reasons i can think of
-people trust the gov to supply safer product than dealers
-older people don't know any dealers and don't want to ask their kids
-peoples attitudes change with the laws
-initial excitement over legality of it all

The best part of legalization is that weed now comes from a good source for people who dont know a guy, you can be pretty sure you're going to get 'safe' weed.

Alot has changed in the last 5 years or so with dispensaries, but when I started smoking weed in my teens (late 90s to the early 00s) weed came from sketchy people and I really regret smoking some of the terrible hair spray weighted weed we used to get.

I smoke once or twice a year for about the last 10 years but I might see whats up now that I can pick the weed. Having a buddy who smokes a ton of weed and barely gets high anymore get you weed usually ends up getting you fuckin cooked lol

Out of curiosity, did anyone here used to pick up from a guy named Wayne in Vancouver? Just off 27th and Fraser. Would have been 80's/90's. Pretty well known around the area for fat pillows. Was in the same spot for quite a few years.
Just figured since i assume a lot of us are of the same age bracket and from van some people might remember him. Seemed like everyone from EV back then knew zaney wayney.

I should also note here for noobs, if smoking the weed gave you a bad high. Know that it's different for everyone. Most people like smoking it far better than edibles.

I'm actually the opposite than most people. I can have a good time and function on edibles. But most people just pk (ptfo).

So if smoking it doesn't work. Try a small amount of edibles. The key is trying it in 1/4ths for smaller amounts or 1/8ths for larger doses.



Fav recommendation is Jelly bombs. Choose the lowest thc level. It's cut into 8 pieces, so a 40mg is roughly 5mg of thc per cube. Eat one per session, not on an empty stomach. It'll take longer but at least it won't screw you up real bad.



This way, with cubes, you can figure out what dose is good for you.

you could take one large inhale and still feel it on the premium bud..i'd start from there and slowly top it up if you like where its taking you,if taking a massive bong hit its gonna hit like a train,Paranoia/panic attack scenarios only seem to happen if you over do it & start trying to fight the high,then people make it worst holding their breathe...just remember you're doing this for fun & enjoyment

it's too bad they don't sell "Charlotte's web" strain if you start freaking out about being too high cause CBD seems to really mellow and even kill the high with 0.3% thc and 15% cbd.


did a little test of doing dabs and getting "Too high" and smoked Charlotte's web later only to feel a little high 20 minutes later...CBD's really do work for being too high on noobies.
