That's correct, edibles (THC/CBD infused foods) are not yet legal but they will be. They'll be sold like any other marijuana product, from government licensed stores, not your local supermarkets where regular food is sold. They'll be clearly marked that they are a marijuana product.

I tried strawberry ice, kinky kush and headband. Slightly disappointed by the kinky as I believe it's 25% bit it wasn't as strong as the local rockstar or pink. The headband was amazing though, a proper sativa great for wake and bake. Totally functional etc.

THC % is overrated and is not an indication of stronger or better weed. Just like more horse power in a car doesn't mean it's faster etc

TBH the authors had a point that keeping an eye out doesn't hurt, but I just didn't like the tone; sounded like they are saying there is pot-infused food everywhere...

IMHO it's as much of a problem as it was before pot is legalized.

Edibles for sure increase your tolerance like mad.

After going through an involuntary weed cleanse for like two months (ran out then the VIs started happening), I ended up buying 3 packs of jelly bombs. Finally went through a pack (of 8) today (well right now). I've got to say, my tolerance has went from 6hrs on the first day back on one 5mg thc edible, to a short 3 hours on one dose.

Strangely, double dosing in a single evening (not all at once) is working pretty well. On the other hand, I just ptfo if I eat a 10mg thc one all at once.

I would classify joints/bongs/edibles/dabs all seperately.

dosent matter if you smoke js everyday. if you never taken a bong hit or a dab that shit will wreck you.

you could do bong hits all the time but if you never taken a dab of concentrates/extracts that shit will wreck you.

Speaking of edibles, I had a gummy over the weekend and didn't realize that it was a high dose with 100mg of THC and 20mg of CBD. First off, who the hell needs a dose that high?!


Now, I'm used to edibles so I wasn't too worried. But the most I've eaten before is about 40mg of THC. Well, it was one hell of a ride. A high edible dose is known to lower your blood pressure, and I could definitely feel at it's peak that I was hanging on to reality, and maybe even consciousness, by a very fine thread. Not once did I ever consider going to the hospital, mainly because I'm not a pussy. But damn, if I was a rookie and didn't know what to expect, I would have thought I was dying.

But then I didn't die, posted my experience on RS, and all was good.

I snagged a couple grams of a beautiful organic sativa when one of the dispensaries was closing to prep for legalization.
I wasn't expecting much, but when I actually tasted it I was incredibly impressed. It tasted so nice, and just had a great, clean feeling to it. I was sad when it ran out, and wished I had bought more.

I only ate two pancakes. Fast forward a few hours and this dirtball my buddies knew had also aten two and was sitting across from me in the living room, I was fuckeddddd like trying to manually breathe etc and then I look at him and he’s checking his pulse! Lol

I was tripping so bad I was actually wishing he would call the ambulance so that I could go too! Lol

Eventually it leveled out but fuck it’s not fun to get to that level lol

I feel like I'd like to try edibles again but not only am I afraid of a repeat bad trip but I also dislike the long wait for kick in and how long it lasts. I'd be afraid of consuming too much or having it be too intense. Is there any way of regulating it better like taking pulls from a J or pen, etc?

yea solvent free tincture drops, i have this tincture drop which is basically 20mg THC per ml. drop a couple mls in whatver drink/food or direct orally and youre good.

I bought one of the Flyte pen kits a little while ago. I liked them so much I stopped buying flower and would buy the concentrate/oil filled cartridges that attach to the battery instead. I found a couple brands that I thought were ok for consistency and quality.

I thought it was better than flower in every way except for the cost. Doesn't hurt your throat like flower or bud does; the smell is temporary and the vapor dissipates quickly. It is also much easier to regulate how high you will be compared to smoking a joint, pipe, bong, etc I thought. There was no mess or refilling anything like some of the nicotine vaporizers, very discreet and convenient. It kind of sucks when the battery dies when you want to use it, but charging it is easy with the USB charger.

Not many places have the cartridges anymore since legalization though. Some have stock still, but it sounds like they won't be able to get them anymore for at least a year until concentrates and or edibles are to become legal as well. I understand there's still a lot of work to make those products marketable, and high enough quality/consistency to be endorsed by the government. Nonetheless it's still a bit disappointing because IMO it was really that much better, and before legalization it was as easy as getting weed at a dispensary. Although understandable until some of the health effects etc can be determined.

I'd say have edibles that you can easily portion (mostly) evenly and self control. Going back to the jelly bomb example - 8 portions.

Are you a regular a regular cannabis user? If so, get the 80mg thc (10mg thc per portion) package. Eat one on an empty stomach and wait about 30-45 minutes. Probably eat one before you shower, do some light work/reading, cook, etc.

If you are not a regular user, get the 40mg thc 40mg cbd (5mg thc 5mg cbd per portion) package. Again, eat one portion to start off with. If after 1.5 hours you don't feel anything eat another one.

For most people an edible high is completely different. For me, it doesn't hit me as strong as smoking it. Smoking it, one minute i'm sober, next minute i'm high as a kite. With edibles, it slow eases into a mellow high. Unlike most people, I actually end up doing work or posting on RS coherently. So YMMV, most people get pretty fucked on edibles.

Thanks d00ds. It's a shame that the edible and concentrate market is in array now due to the legalization roll out but perhaps when regulation falls into place I'll give it a shot. Eating something and waiting 45 minutes is just not appealing to me though. Even smoking a whole J to the dome I'm baked long before I'm even done smoking and it'll last a couple hours before a re-up is needed. Like anything though, once you and your body get used to something you build a tolerance to it.
