Judging by reviews on Amazon.com a lot of people swear by it. Only downside Im seeing is the "effects" last a few thousand miles. Which shouldn't be an issue if you do your oil changes every 5k-7k KMs.

One of the reviews reads.

"My 1995 BMW 525i with M50 engine and 200k miles always sounded like an old washing machine. Finally the ticking was driving me insane and I happened across some internet discussion about this product. With nothing left to lose other than a complete lifter changeout I went ahead and tried it. The ticking is completely gone ! I'm sold on this stuff."

I'd say it wouldn't hurt for you to test it out as its pretty inexpensive for what it is. Just remember every engine is different, so just cause it works on buddy who has the same exact car/engine doesn't mean it will do justice for you too.
