cx4 seems like it would just cannibalize the mazda 3 hatch... these days people love small suvs, if you make a form factor that is the size of a regular hatch then you'll have a winner

The current CX-3 has the same ground Clearance as a regular 2014-2018 Mazda3 Hatchback, the CX-3 has a smaller cargo volume and higher center of gravity due to higher roof line.

I don't understand the appeal of the CX-3...

As a person that owes a CX-3 I can say this. Mine is lowered on Corksport springs so any height advantage it has is gone, it just looks damn cool. Based off the Mazda 2 rather than the 3 it's big enough for most. My 5'2 wife loves it as it's perfect for her.

I hate the marketing term skyactiv. It’s a bullshit moniker for known technologies.

you think '13:1 compression ratio petrol direct injection' is a better name for the average car buyer?

Late to the party, but I've been seeing more and more on the streets... Man, they are such good looking cars. I prefer the sedan over the hatchback this time around.

I have a brand new rental CX-5 right now whilst the CX-9 is in the shop, do they use the same motor in the 3? It has a nice induction noise in sport mode, and it shifts so fast ! I am loving the new generation Mazdas.

I have seen a new hatchback in Soul Red near my house.

The hatch isn't as bad as it was in the pictures, bit I still way prefer the looks of the sedan.

interior is amazing, driving is great. I love this thing!

How is road noise and ride quality in the new model?

I drove a friend's '18 hatch in Ontario and both this aspects were not very comfortable at highway cruising (140km/h)

According to all the car reviewers on Youtube, it's much quieter than the old Mazda 3. I have a 17 Mazda 3 and I'll give an update once I get the 19 Mazda 3.

Work in sales at Mazda so have spent quite some seat time in them. Overall smoother and quieter ride than the previous generation, and the GT's sound quality on the Bose sound system is also much better than the ones previously.

Quiet.

Too quiet, got the manual this week and at first couldn't use my hearing for shift points lol

i have a 2019 mazda 3 hatch. like everyone said its really quiet. the only thing i don't really like are the sensors are pretty sensitive for my liking. few times i get a red brake warning on the heads up display but really nothing in front of me.

Do you mind sharing what model and pricing you got for your 19 Mazda 3?

Looking to get a 2nd car and the GS trim's MSRP pricing and options look pretty good.

I'm guessing these are selling like hot cakes so chances of price negotiation will be marginal?

Yeah its a new infotainment system which has quicker response and more tactile feedback, no more touch screen, just controlled through the dial
