I've driven the 997.2 gts and I didn't find the experience all that rewarding. I don't know know, i couldn't fall in love with it. Didn't like the flat 6 sounds either.
I just don't get the 911 mystique.

It's funny because vice versa, us 911 folk would never consider a MGT either. One of the girls in our group had one, hated it, and has only had 911s since.
Hate the new interior (wtf is with the gear lever, and having no buttons for modes is annoying) but love the new design, can't believe how quick the new S is, why would you want anything else!? And now that the regular S comes in wide-body as well it's pants throbbingly worth it.
loving porsches styling but damnit i cant do those quad square headlight LEDs in such a sculpted rounded headlight. same reason i cant get behind the 918 either. you can do better porsche.

Love it, but hate the little mini penis auto gear selector, and the rear end is not to appealing in photos.
Manuel solves the gear issue, and I'm betting a big wing solves the rear.

Looking from the outside in the only Porsche that hints at excitement and literally gets my heart going is the 993, followed by the 964 builds by Singer. That being said, I'm positive when you get to that level of being an owner you're already invested in (and sold on) the design/styling leaving very little that needs to be changed about the exterior going forward. All that aside, I really like the interior as it looks like it was greater influenced by earlier generations compared to the 991. Looks awesome.

the front end has very subtle changes that make the overall appearance more "square" i find, it's a very slight change but its kind of like their gesture to the future design

styling is subjective, so like it or not, you can't argue the about the performance. O-60 in 3.4, quarter mile in mid 11s. Rumors of Nurburgring time in 7:15 or below. I can't even imagine what numbers the Turbo is going to put up....The only downside is it gained weight and size.....

only reason i would care about Nurburgring is that its about handling performance..
i don't think you're regular Joe would care but its good to know you got next level engineering for bragging rights...more competition to other exotic automakers too, step your game up.
991 / 992 are more of a GT car sized machine - the mass is no different from the R35 GTR and I think the wide body cars are even wider hipped than the R35.
Stunning machine and glad they still build a car with heritage.

I personally prefer the size of the 997 Vs 991. However, the handling dynamics and suspension refinement is light years ahead of the 997. Although the 991 feels big, it is like a 250lbs linebacker who is really light on his feet....
