Do they know who made it? It’s a pretty massive tell (can’t even call it a dog whistle it’s so blatant) to use the OK thing too… wow…

What about Tiger Woods? Him and his (ex) white wife. Every racist's nightmare.

Like I said.... Ndp is gonna decide the winner, damned if they do damned if they dont

Liberal platform - anti flipping tax on home owned and sold for less than 1 year

https://liberal.ca/housing/reduce-in...ouse-flipping/

Liberal candidate - https://www.citynews1130.com/2021/08...d-real-estate/

Not just 5 or 6 homes, 42 homes flipped while 17 were owned for less than 1 year.

Way to lead by example! He should've known that something like that would've been dug up and be used against him.

Not exactly a role model of a candidate.

I tried not to analyze it toooooooo deeply, it deserves very little of any of our thought but yes you are correct I guess. I never thought of Tiger Woods that way… which is a good thing I guess?

That said I’d still like to know if these posters were party sanctioned in any way or just made by some local idiot.

The tiger wood poster is playing the a rasists fear of race mixing and diluting the pure white blood. The posters where probably done by a local candidate. The problem with the ppc is they will take anymore because they don't have the resources to do any vetting.

I think Liberal party will drop him and replace him with someone else.

When asked last week on how many homes and he couldn't tell you? That's a red flag lol

Yea, he said he'd have to check into it. Loll. Well no need, someone checked it for you buddy. 5mil in a few years house flipping is what I heard from news1130? I'm definitely in the wrong business.

Eff-1 08-30-2021 11:45 AM

Yikes. That's a bad look.

Days after the Liberal candidate for Vancouver Granville said he didn’t “want to speculate” on how many rapid-fire real estate deals he’s been involved with in a short period of time over the last decade, NEWS 1130 has learned Taleeb Noormohamed has bought and sold at least 21 homes within a year of buying them since 2005.

It comes as the Liberals campaign on housing affordability as part of the party’s platform in this year’s federal election, even going so far as to promise an anti-flipping tax.

According to documents obtained by NEWS 1130, Noormohamed has sold at least 41 properties within Metro Vancouver within the last 17 years, holding 30 of them for less than two years. And the tech executive has made a tidy profit along the way, making $4.9 million in the process, a remarkable $3.7 million of which he’s bagged in the last six years.

I don’t even know why guys like that bother trying to get into politics, so stressful and soul sucking… obviously good at making money multiple other ways just enjoy your life man… fuck

Traum 08-30-2021 12:20 PM

Some people crave power and the recognition that comes with it.

If I ever get into politics (haha~), my sole motivation would be to get rid of the idiocy that we see so often. FailFish But even then, I still wouldn't be getting paid well enough to put up with all the shxt you have to deal with.

Psychopathy.

Tapioca 08-30-2021 12:28 PM

Being in politics still opens up a lot of doors and influence, even in today's world of social media disruption.

If you serve a term without any significant scandals, you could basically work anywhere as public affairs/government relations experience is sought after by most organizations.

I'm sure many others started with the same idea as you.

Just like lots of people joined the police to make the world a better place and save lives.........

:D

(That said, if anyone had a chance of staying on-course, I'd say it would be you)

Cons trying to buy the pet owner's votes

Tories pledge tax credit for adopted dogs from shelter, part of health-care platform
HALIFAX -- Nova Scotia's Progressive Conservatives are promising a $500 tax credit for people who adopt a dog from a recognized shelter if the party is elected to govern on Aug. 17.

PC Leader Tim Houston says dogs provide mental and physical health benefits and the tax incentive will encourage people to develop healthy routines after a difficult COVID-19 pandemic.

He says the tax credit for adopted dogs is a small but important piece of his health-focused platform, which pledges more doctors, more timely mental health supports and a commitment to long-term care.

Can't all candidates are now locked in. if he drops out libs will have no candidate in the riding.

winson604 08-31-2021 08:55 AM

Reverse the gun ban and you get my vote lol

westopher 08-31-2021 09:17 AM

Ahh yes. The real important issues.

Tapioca 08-31-2021 12:09 PM

If the poll numbers hold, this will serve as one of the most terrible political miscalculations by an incumbent government in a generation in Canada.

whitev70r 08-31-2021 12:52 PM

Libs don't even need to lose, if they get a slimmer minority, it will be seen as an epic failure of JT's part and hopefully, he will be turfed. Leadership review ... bye bye.

Here's Erin O'Toole on MP Maryam Monsef. After calling her a "fraud," "disgrace" and "liar," he starts to really strut for
@DaveSmithPtbo
and promises to break up the CBC, randomly slag Rosemary Barton, and say that he has more clout than
@CBCTheNational
. Note: He wants to be PM.

westopher 08-31-2021 04:13 PM

Lol well there goes the high road angle that o toole was playing.

68style 08-31-2021 04:59 PM

Is it 2005 again? Why do people in any position of power ever get recorded saying stuff like this lol

snowball 08-31-2021 05:07 PM

Maybe JT does need the boot but is this toole the better way to go? I hope people wake up and realize that their anger right now is making them revolt irrationally. Everyone in the running is starting to make Harper look like a saint.

westopher 08-31-2021 05:13 PM

Bloc is looking like best option lol
PPC - openly racist and basically brain dead
Liberal - scandals and empty promises
Cons - cute words trying to paint themselves as a "new" Conservative party with no backbone for actually running platforms based on that image
Green Party - how can you govern anything when you cant even operate as a party
NDP - pie in the sky ideas which will pummel me financially
