Votes I'm not sure, but greens will get more seats.
Which is 1.

Everything tool says he believes in his party is against. Climate change, carbon tax, gun ban, abortion etc. I was talking to someone who said he was going to vote for tool because he is against the carbon tax. I showed him tool was for the carbon tax and now he is thinking of voting NDP.

Because the cons know that being a more centrist party is the ticket to winning. even if that’s simply a ploy

And I’d say it’s pretty clear the other parties whom the liberals thought they had an ally in are no longer in that position.

It’s unfortunate that Annamie Paul wasn’t the leader of a different party because she is very polished and clearly one of the most intelligent leaders. Imo the NDP would have faired much better with someone like her as the leader over Singh who is probably the least polished of all the leaders and seems to just regurgitate NDP BS from previous generations. He also has a hard time expanding on ideas which is never a good look for a leader.

Exactly this! They are saying what they need to, to win. This is not different than what other parties do as well. There are so many empty promises from all leaders, however my vote is going Conservative, not because of the "social" aspects, its more about money, and money management.

Surely by now, you know not to believe anything that any leaders say ... they just want to win and get into power. They'll deal with the backlash & unfulfilled promises once they have those offices in Ottawa. Every party is promising $$$ to every interest group.

When the Cons promised $$ to pet owners ... I thought ... WTF??? They are trying to out do the Libs and NDP in being socialists. Soon a party will promise universal health care for your pooches!

Hate to be a one issue voter but are the Liberals really the only party that will enforce mandatory vaccinations on Domestic Planes and Trains? I'm intending to be in several planes and trains in thru October/November and if the Cons nix that I'm going to be pissed. The NDP, Greens have no chance so I guess their policies don't matter.

I’d prefer NDP to have a go, because they actually might try and fail instead of just lying. I’d rather see someone at least try and fulfil some promises this time.

The only leader I know that's not full of horse shit is Jagmeet. When he says he is going to reduce mobile and internet bills I know he is going to do it. There is a reason why companies like T-Mobile are international but robellus is only in Canada. When he says he is going to cut subsidies to gas and oil companies he means it. No reason why companies that are making a shit ton of money need 900 million in subsidies each year.

I'll take a hard pass on Jagmeet just for him saying that he'd double CERB... people already won't go back to work in the service industry as it is, double it and fuck I'd start thinking about just staying home and picking my ass lol

We have had a labor shortage well before Covid. Tool wants to add a million more jobs. How is that going to help the service industry?

The NDP is full of ideas that “save money” for people but they can never explain where that money is going to come from or be taken from.

So they save money on internet and TV bills at the cost of jobs from the telcos? Fantastic. Kill local jobs to give Handouts to the cerbs

100% If Paul was another leader, i totally choose her. Aside from the way she presented herself. She's probably one of the more decent human being on there. Fuck...everyone else just talks about the same BS. Climate change carbon taxes...invest into infrastructure...invest into electric vehicles..

like for fuck sakes...Canada is cold majority of the year and these fuckers think reducing carbon is going to help Canadians? Go electric and pay through the roof on the electric bill...(btw we still have some gas and coal plants)

Even living in Vancouver here...our gas bill is slowly creeping up with the carbon tax.

Right now I pay $70 for 10 gigs. According to redflagdeals if I leave Telus and join Wind Telus will call me up with a will back offer, 25 gigs for $45. So ether I am being ripped off or they are losing money trying to get back customers. I really doubt they are losing money.

If Telus has to fire people to reduce costs, good but I doubt they have people in field just sitting on there asses they can fire. Telus CEO just got a 24% raise in 2020 for a salary of 16.4 million. Maybe he can take a pay cut.

Libs may suffer from vote splitting with NDP.

Cons, on the other hand, becuz of PPC unpopularity, it's not really turning out to be that gift to JT as once thought.

I saw parts of the debate and it was entertaining.

Blanchet really didn't do anything but shake his balls on Quebec nationalism. Whatever he said didn't really matter in the end because no leader (except the Greens who have nothing to lose) is going to speak out against Quebec or face political suicide which shows how messed up our political system is.

I felt like every time Jagmeet spoke all he did was call out Trudeau in a very blunt way. Come on bro what's your platform?

Erin O'toole came out playing it safe and sidestepped a lot of the social issues which the debate weighed heavily on. I'm not sure what he's actually going to do. How he'll approach COVID worries me a bit but the current status quo of pissing money at anything and everything while accumulating debt to keep everyone afloat is not sustainable. At some point very soon Canada will need a Conservative government to get us out of this mess.

I overall dislike JT but he looked stressed like he was just one comment away from throwing the podium. I give him a lot credit for handling the pandemic well despite a lot of money being wasted and going to people who don't need it. It feels like Canadians don't care about finances maybe because they don't see it, don't understand it, and are probably poor with finances themselves so they continue to vote JT. Despite his deep flaws and the fact that he hasn't accomplished anything prior to becoming PM, he'll continue to get votes because Canadians perceive him to be a humanitarian.

And the Green Party lady, she was pretty bad ass haha

Fuck I remember this crackpot teacher made us say the lords prayer in class every morning in public school. I wish I'd known how absurd it was at the time.
