all the cooling measures put in place have been a decent start, hope they keep it going |
There’s a difference between expecting someone to do something about it compared to blaming them for causing it. |
https://i.ibb.co/nMpN1MH/JGKmf-Sqxd4...-rc-FEP7-A.jpg had to double post from the real estate thread lol |
Had to double thanks......... |
https://vancouversun.com/news/nation...c-b86cf2da724f heard Trudeau went surfing in Tofino today lol https://i.ibb.co/cv7w0yZ/fb0f5e47-fd...349a8d803d.jpg |
That's just so fucked up...and to say he was in meetings all day with residential school survivors, wtf that's just disgusting |
The impunity that comes from being the best of the worst. Fucking embarrassing. |
So... Not to defend "turd" but umm.. What is wrong with spending reconciliation day in a small quiet town on the coast? Not surfing mind you, just going there. I admit I'm not familiar with the holiday since it's brand new, are there ceremonies all over the country similar to Remembrance Day? |
lol Mike I love how butthurt and fired up you get it's awesome! By no one caring about the election I meant the population at large, which has been obvious in the weeks since and shown by the almost historically low voter turnout. I of course am disappointed that just under 19% of the country felt their best option was to re-elect the demonstrably most corrupt and hypocritical PM this country has ever seen. He makes Harper look like a reasonable and transparent guy. But like Harper said "the people are never wrong". I'm just glad he didn't get a majority. Sorry for the delayed response I don't get on here very often. Slow clap for everyone who voted for JT though as he proves again today that he doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself, in increasingly shameful form. |

I’d say at the very least it would have been nice for the clown to participate. Par for the course though |

Actual residential school survivors held ceremonies today and prominent groups invited the PM to attend, but he was busy "doing better" surfing |

Nobody said he was surfing, just that he was in Tofino. |
There’s a video of him in a wetsuit on the beach ignoring questions about why he wasn’t in Kamloops. If he wasn’t surfing, he was taking IG photos pretending he was surfing which is way worse |

If he showed up at big ceremonies on this day and made a big deal of it, I bet a lot of people would be like "he just created this for his own image" (that's a strawman I know but whatever LUL ) |
Why do I get the feeling that if Trudeau did actually attend a ceremony the same usual posters here would still be bitching about how he's "still the worst PM ever" and "Virtue signaling SJW personified" and "Why are we wasting money on a holiday no one else gets?" |
I was shocked how many people were off yesterday considering it’s a holiday supposedly nobody else gets hahaha |
My work did a 180, originally clarifying sometime in August was "not a paid day off" for us, sorry. Then a few weeks later, after the union that represents our field staff said they would be recognizing the statutory holiday, they said "In order to acknowledge and recognize the tremendous importance of this day, the executive team has decided that we will be closing our offices on September 30th, as well" Which to me means "we're going to get bad PR if we don't close" |
Same with my company. Frankly I didn’t really care one way or another but what pissed me off is that for the last 6 months the lock screens in our computers have had this indigenous background stating something along the lines of “every day is indigenous day bla bla” then they always send out these virtue signaling emails from the higher ups about this and that and working together but as soon as the holiday dropped they initially said no way lol.. I’m fine if you don’t want to give the holiday, but don’t jam your corporate politics down my throat then. |
This guy is such a joke. He's proven it over and over again. His PR guys didn't catch the surf trip to Tofino as a bad idea, he didn't think himself that it was a bad idea? I think a lot of people spent the day reading articles, watching stories about T&R, but he (our PM) just blatantly avoided it. Quote:

The guy just finished an election that had him on the road every day for over a month. Give the guy 5 minutes to breath before you try to lynch him again. |
I'm not going to cape for Trudeau, but do any of you really care? Like Civic said, if he went to a Pow Wow and sat in the middle of an indigenous dance, while lambasting the actions of the prior white men that inhabited this country, would you feel any better? :lol Tofino is indigenous land, with a big community out there (one of my clients the Nuu Chah Nulth, have nations out there), it's not like he's flown off to Cancun or something, LOL. I dunno, optics wise it's not the best, but fuck man, it's a holiday, and he's vacationing in an indigenous community, who cares. The man just spent the last 2 months running around the country for an election, you can't take a few days off on a civic holiday? It's not like Ted Cruz vacationing in Cancun while people in his state freeze to death. |

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/vote...nges-1.5602338 Voter turnout was not historically low. Canada always has crap voter turnout. Turnout was down from 67 per cent in 2019 and 68.3 per cent in 2015 but it was still better than four of the previous seven federal elections held in Canada since the turn of the century. Given COVID, I'd say it's pretty smack in the middle of our average: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_turnout_in_Canada |

Also I guarantee you his PR people and him didn’t realize people can track that private jet he’s on and as soon as you see the specific call sign you know he’s aboard. So likely he was thinking he could sneak away without being noticed given the timing. The guy is completely out of touch period. There is no defending him |
Have you guys ever sit on a surfboard floating in ocean? or just look out into the water and it clears your mind to think? Maybe he's doing that? Like to him...he goes...this day is so important for Canadians to do better and unify...what outfit should I wear to demonstrate that? Should I roll up my sleeves to look like I've been working all night? Should I make my eyes puffy so I look like I've been crying? It's hard work to dress up guys. |
