Truth and reconciliation day should be a day off for everyone else while government workers need to work a 16 hour day to try and enact some meaningful policy for indigenous relations in this country.

It's not a huge deal for me and my opinion is not important. but many First nations individuals and chiefs calling him out. Their opinion is what matters.
Speaking of disrespect... I love it when people who don't support any of the letters of that acronym every other day of the week... suddenly use it as a way to spread their vitriol.

Same people who constantly bring up "blackface"... Like they actually care
Oh FFS, this isn't a Justin 'pandering' thing, it's official MMIWG terminology:
Quote:
The National Inquiry has chosen to use the term “2SLGBTQ” (representing Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queerand questioning people ), By
putting “2S” at the front, we are remembering that Two-Spirit people have existed in many Indigenous Nations and communities long before other understandings of gender and orientation came to us through colonization. This also puts TwoSpirit people right at the front of our conversations, rather than at the end.
Bets on how many more letters are added to the acronym before Justin’s reign of terror is over? 3? 4?
By the time it’s over the term marginalized individuals may have less letters
You do realize Justin didn't invent the LGBTQ acronym right?
So let me get this straight:
Justin using 2S in front of LGBTQ = PANDERING!!!
Justin not paying lip service to a brand new holiday = NOT PANDERING ENOUGH!!!

14/15 can still work with permission of parent or guardian, but I agree, terrible change. I loved my job when I was 14-17 working at the skate shop, and it allowed my to buy an e30 when I was 16. Not to mention countless snowboard trips that my mom wouldn’t have been able to afford to send me on.

^ Precisely ... the BC Liberals are like Conservatives (think Christy Clark).
And the BC NDP is kinda like middle left ... Libs. It's really weird.
Funny you mentioned that. I remember there was a candidate for the BC Conservative Party on the ballot box last election. Its not a big party I guess as my friends didn't have a candidate in their ridings.
So I would imagine they are even further far right party.
