That's funny and all, but the part that I quoted was the pandering I was pointing out, and he did say that.
Again with the "but this part is wrong" argument to try and dismantle the parts that weren't wrong. If someone says 2+2 is 4 and 3+3 is 7 in the same statement, its doesn't mean 2+2 is no longer 4.
It also says this in the article.

A Twitter account purporting to be organizers of a Canada Day convoy protest on Parliament Hill suggested Tuesday they had spoken to the Poilievre campaign and the leadership candidate planned to meet them at the rally – a claim the Poilievre campaign flatly denied Tuesday.

Great68 06-22-2022 11:53 AM

Well, Premier just announced the Museum project has been cancelled

Hondaracer 06-22-2022 12:00 PM

At least they owned up when a decision they make is universally disliked they change their mind..unlike some in govt.

westopher 06-22-2022 12:44 PM

I was just saying “watch this, people that don’t like NDP will find a way to make this a bad thing like calling them flip floppers”
Thanks Honda for proving me wrong.

In the interest of non partisan political discussion.

Feds talking about selling some of the most productive shoulder season farmland in canada for industrial redevelopment, in the middle of the worst food supply issues/costs of our lifetime. Combined with the Vancouver port authority being willing to cripple their own port by requiring replacement of thousands of trucks with newer models to be allowed to haul. What the fuck could anyone be thinking on this?

This is what I was thinking. Did not want the museum and not a fan of the NDP but I'll give the guy credit, he got backlash and instead of digging in and being like FU I represent the people this is the decision and we're rolling with it he took a step back and changed it.

The mayor of Surrey could learn a thing or two from this approach but unfortunately he's way too ignorant and stubborn.

westopher 06-22-2022 01:03 PM

The mayor of Surrey is so far into dementia it’s astonishing he even knows to show up to work.

It’s insane that with all their quasi “climate change” initiatives that they are even considering this. Goes to show how daft their efforts are.

A lot of what you can find in terms of the true immediate impact of climate change isn’t your Hyuandi Elantra spewing out virtually zero emissions, it’s shit like this. Turning Permeable, green, water bearing surfaces into commercial concrete pads. This would be a poor choice regardless let alone when this land has been incredibly fertile for an extremely long time and continues to be..

I’m not into conspiracy theories but the amount of these incidents and shit like bill C-11 etc. that are these completely control moves veiled as “helping” people… I dunno man, shit is looking pretty fucked up even outside of the terrible economic times ahead.

westopher 06-22-2022 03:25 PM

I don’t know if it’s malice, or sheer stupidity, but I still think it comes down to the fact that you can’t have a bunch of rich people deciding what’s good for the majority of the population. They simply don’t understand normal peoples lives.

whitev70r 06-22-2022 04:34 PM

No one is against art, culture, history etc. Just build the damn thing for $300M .. not $800M and put $500M into the healthcare.

We will allocate $50million to form a committee to make recommendations on your suggestion.

Ahhh Kevin Falcon was quick to do almost exactly this. Fucking clown show.

Hondaracer 06-22-2022 05:39 PM

Their collection there is irrelevant. You don’t need to build the most expensive museum in North America for a collection no one cares about.

Build your aboriginal education centre and distribute the collection to other museums.

Probably sees himself as virtuous as Terry Fox

Liquid_o2 06-24-2022 09:06 AM

What vaccine mandates?

westopher 06-24-2022 09:13 AM

Maybe the measles shot kids need to get into after school care?

Manic! 06-26-2022 12:37 AM

Now we have con MP's rapping.

68style 06-26-2022 02:14 PM

What’s with the jiggle jiggle wiggle wiggle thing?!?! The only thing I saw jiggling were his titties. So embarrassing.

I like how his video is showing how lovely and easy it is to walk around freely on the loveliest of days while he “raps” about how difficult the country is.

westopher 06-26-2022 02:22 PM

What a fucking clown.
