Yah there's literally no point in comparing sexuality depictions between Europe and North America... attitudes in North America are extremely immature compared to Europe. You can thank all the religious zealots for that. A Canadian/American company couldn't even make that Denmark video without it being egregious in some way. |

Already addressed that in a previous post... you also saw a 20 second clip man... how do you know what happened before or after? The sound and video quality was good enough that you could discern all the individual responses? Why you keep trying to push this agenda that anyone thinks what he did was right? Nobody does. It's fuckin weird you keep wanting it to be that way. |
You keep saying "nobody thinks it's right" like you have some kind of inside information yourself. You have as much info as I do just a different opinion on how the people are reacting to it. If my view is fucking weird so is yours. |
I'm not sure what MarkyMark is expecting from that situation? The police to rush in and tackle the guy, bash his head in a little bit in the process? THAT wouldn't be emotionally scarring for the kids in the crowd at all.. |

Bash his head in while the kids are scarred for life? Man where is the common sense these days to think that's the way to go about it? |
I love that we’ve reached the stage where a guys dick is literally wagging in children’s faces and the response is “eh it’s not as bad as a peaceful protest” |
Okay fair, maybe 1 or 2 other pedo's in the crowd thought it was cool or some immature teen thought it was funny in a dark humour kind of way. How do you know nobody ever said anything or did anything? I don't get why you keep pushing this agenda that nobody did anything when you have no idea about it. |
I'm just trying to understand your thought process here. If there were cops present, who's to say they wouldn't have asked him to cover up or escorted him away. But on the other hand, parents that take their kids to this sort of event know what they're in for and that they might see some freaky shit. It's why I don't take MY kids to that freak show, but who am I to impose my morality on others? |
Freak show?!?! Your employers name now please |
hahaha well I think it's safe to say nobody here who even leans left is THAT far left. I know if I attend a parade of that sort, I do so because of the audacity of it... I support gay marriage and people's rights and I don't really gaf what people do in the bedroom at all... but I don't appreciate the "You must support everything we do OR ELSE" side of things any more than you do. I'm happy for everyone there that is happy in a genuine non-exploitative kind of way. I probably wouldn't take my kid there until they're a bit older myself if I had a kid. |
I am kind of surprised RS talking about drag queens. This is a poor person issue designed to keep poor people distracted and poor while the rich get richer. No one rich who is working cares about this. |
That’s an incredibly liberal POV you’ve got there. We’re simply not rich enough to concern ourselves with dicks in childrens faces |
Again straight to the whataboutisms. It's not surprising, but it is a bit boring. |

Big announcement from Premier Horgan. https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2022/0...r-john-horgan/ B.C. Premier John Horgan is expected to announce Tuesday that he will be stepping down. He is set to make an announcement at 1:30 p.m. following an NDP cabinet retreat. Indications are @jjhorgan will announcing he’s stepping down as Premier in his presser this aft following the NDP cabinet retreat. Was expected before next elxn - with leadership race needed. Not known if he will stay as mla until then. #bcpoli |
That's unfortunate, I may not agree with all his policy at times but by all accounts I believe him to be a very honest and forthright person... wish every politician was more like him. |
Who in that party has what it takes to take over? I think he's the predominant reason the NDP got back into power. Dix was already a failure. I bet if Horgan was leader back then, they would have punted that useless tit Christie Clark a lot sooner. |
I am sorry to see Hulk Horgan go. While there are times when I don't agree with his policies -- esp the snap election that he threw BC into a year and a half ago -- I'd say that the bulk of the time he has been steering BC in a good direction. Under his leadership, BC has definitely been heading in a far better direction than it has ever been under Christy Clark and the Liberals' so-called leadership. As far as the leadership race is concerned, I think we can expect a lot of attention to focus on David Eby. As the AG and now also the housing minister, he is definitely a household name in BC, so there is a lot more public recognition. Whether he wants to run for the Premier job is another question though, as I remember Eby saying that he has a young son, and would like to spend more time with his family. Another good candidate would be Rob Fleming. Fleming has been a long time MLA for the NDP, and very well liked in his riding as well. The atmospheric river disaster last year has put him in the forefront of the BC public, and I think he has won quite a lot of points from the public for the reconstruction efforts as well. Potentially, I think Selina Robinson would also make for a good candidate for the leadership race. Dix would be a toxic asset if he tries to run for it. I don't think Mike Farnworth would project a good enough image to secure a win against the Liberals, esp when Kevin Falcon is the Liberals leader now. Gosh I hope the next NDP leader will kick Falcon and the Libs back into the gutter for at least another term or two... |
He's a very likeable guy, and although he's definitely said/done some dumb things, he listens, he apologizes and most importantly acts to make changes. He's got humility, which is probably the most important personality trait a politician can have, yet fucking none of them have it. I don't know if Eby has that "everyman" sort of connection Horgan has. I like the things Eby has involved himself in, but don't want to sit down for a pint with him like I would Horgan. Falcon seems like the type of guy who asks restaurant hostesses "do you know who I am?" so that should help whoever ends up at the helm for NDP. |
Have any of you actually went to a Pride parade? There's literal dicks, pussies, assholes and titties flying about at every Pride parade I've seen, it's colloquial to the whole scene. I never understood being hung up on nudity, we all got privates, who cares? If you're bringing your kids to a Pride parade and concerned about them seeing nudity, you likely shouldn't be bringing them there. I mean shit, that's akin to me bringing my kid to a tailgate party in Philly, worrying about them seeing booze and fist fights. Or taking my kid to Carnival and worrying about them seeing some tits and other debauchery. Not everything needs to be catered to children. |
That's a very true observation about Eby -- he doesn't seem to project that friendly and approachable image as Horgan does. Instead, it almost seems like he prefers to maintain a bit of a distance between himself and the public, and that seems to be how he works best / likes best. Quote:

Fuck Eby, he'll be forever cemented in my mind as a criminal apologist from his days at the Civil Liberties Association. |
Yah, I agree with the Pride parade thing ... do the pride thing but why add all that raunchy stuff ... why is it necessary? I don't understand the connection. Can you do Pride parade without gyrating titties and wieners |
