Yah there's literally no point in comparing sexuality depictions between Europe and North America... attitudes in North America are extremely immature compared to Europe. You can thank all the religious zealots for that.

Already addressed that in a previous post... you also saw a 20 second clip man... how do you know what happened before or after? The sound and video quality was good enough that you could discern all the individual responses?

Why does it have to be so extreme? A simple "hey bud this is a family friendly event cover it up or unfortunately we're going to have to remove you from the parade" would suffice.

How do you know nobody ever said anything or did anything? I don't get why you keep pushing this agenda that nobody did anything when you have no idea about it.
I'm just trying to understand your thought process here. If there were cops present, who's to say they wouldn't have asked him to cover up or escorted him away.
But on the other hand, parents that take their kids to this sort of event know what they're in for and that they might see some freaky shit.

I know if I attend a parade of that sort, I do so because of the audacity of it... I support gay marriage and people's rights and I don't really gaf what people do in the bedroom at all... but I don't appreciate the "You must support everything we do OR ELSE" side of things any more than you do.
I'm happy for everyone there that is happy in a genuine non-exploitative kind of way. I probably wouldn't take my kid there until they're a bit older myself if I had a kid.
I am kind of surprised RS talking about drag queens. This is a poor person issue designed to keep poor people distracted and poor while the rich get richer. No one rich who is working cares about this.

B.C. Premier John Horgan is expected to announce Tuesday that he will be stepping down.
He is set to make an announcement at 1:30 p.m. following an NDP cabinet retreat.

will announcing he’s stepping down as Premier in his presser this aft following the NDP cabinet retreat. Was expected before next elxn - with leadership race needed. Not known if he will stay as mla until then.

That's unfortunate, I may not agree with all his policy at times but by all accounts I believe him to be a very honest and forthright person... wish every politician was more like him.
I am sorry to see Hulk Horgan go. While there are times when I don't agree with his policies -- esp the snap election that he threw BC into a year and a half ago -- I'd say that the bulk of the time he has been steering BC in a good direction. Under his leadership, BC has definitely been heading in a far better direction than it has ever been under Christy Clark and the Liberals' so-called leadership.
As far as the leadership race is concerned, I think we can expect a lot of attention to focus on David Eby. As the AG and now also the housing minister, he is definitely a household name in BC, so there is a lot more public recognition. Whether he wants to run for the Premier job is another question though, as I remember Eby saying that he has a young son, and would like to spend more time with his family.
Another good candidate would be Rob Fleming. Fleming has been a long time MLA for the NDP, and very well liked in his riding as well. The atmospheric river disaster last year has put him in the forefront of the BC public, and I think he has won quite a lot of points from the public for the reconstruction efforts as well.
Potentially, I think Selina Robinson would also make for a good candidate for the leadership race.
Dix would be a toxic asset if he tries to run for it. I don't think Mike Farnworth would project a good enough image to secure a win against the Liberals, esp when Kevin Falcon is the Liberals leader now.
Gosh I hope the next NDP leader will kick Falcon and the Libs back into the gutter for at least another term or two...

He's a very likeable guy, and although he's definitely said/done some dumb things, he listens, he apologizes and most importantly acts to make changes. He's got humility, which is probably the most important personality trait a politician can have, yet fucking none of them have it.
I don't know if Eby has that "everyman" sort of connection Horgan has. I like the things Eby has involved himself in, but don't want to sit down for a pint with him like I would Horgan.
Falcon seems like the type of guy who asks restaurant hostesses "do you know who I am?" so that should help whoever ends up at the helm for NDP.
