Yea, it’s become such a nice area as of late

Manic! 10-15-2022 01:16 PM

I was the first to break this story on social media now it has gone mainstream.

https://www.timescolonist.com/local-...called-5959325

Tanner Scott who is running for school trustee and is anti sogi was at a pac event on Gabriola Island. It was being held on school property.

Someone asked a yes or no question about sogi. Tanner pulled out is phone and started walking around showing graphically explicit photo's of children. he was told to sit down but would not. The principle came in and told him to leave. He would not. The police where called. He argued a bit and then like a child tried to walk out very slowly. Now I hear he may be being investigated for child porn. The pictures he was showing where of children's genitals after surgery. What an idiot.

This the video I was sent.

aren't PAC events only for school staff and parents of students to the school?

does he have kids or is he just trying to stir some shit.
PAC is all volunteer time and people do it outside of their work/life schedules
that's some #1 bullshit to hold a meeting hostage like that.

I guess the PAC was holding an event for all the candidates running for school trustee. He does have kids but I don't think they live on Gabriola.

Not quite understanding of this guy in Nanaimo ... is it a case of this? Trying awe and shock approach ...

Nooooooo!!!!! Doug Paji lost and Surrey has a new mayor who will be keeping the RCMP.

GLOW 10-15-2022 08:16 PM

isn't the surrey police force already rolled out and in action? how do you roll that back?

Nope not in operation yet.

PLEASE NOTE: this website is for the Surrey Police Service in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, which is not yet in operation. Anyone needing police services should dial 911 in an emergency or call the non-emergency line at

whitev70r 10-15-2022 08:24 PM

Reminds me of the Massey Bridge (Liberals) which eventually became the Massey Tunnel (NDP). Which the bridge could have been finished by now. Not saying that Surrey should keep the RCMP but the flip flop of governments ...

MarkyMark 10-15-2022 08:30 PM

Does this mean the 60k person stadium with no parking is in jeopardy?

westopher 10-15-2022 09:10 PM

And no team to play at it lol.
Hopefully they still make a waterway like Venice a la mr magoos plan.

whitev70r 10-15-2022 09:11 PM

Looks like Vancouver will have a new mayor ... let's see what you can do Kenny Sim

Traum 10-15-2022 09:14 PM

Hmm... so Global is already (unofficially) declaring Ken Sim as the winner of the mayoral race. According to the vote count, we are also going to see a huge ABC majority in city council as well:

https://results.vancouver.ca/results-list-view.html

I am both surprised and not surprised by the ABC majority in City Council. The results are basically saying that CoV residents -- or the voting ones, at least -- are completely fed up with Kennedy Stewart's track record in the past 4 years, and was on a mission to kick him and his cronies out of City Hall.

It is the result that I was hoping for, but only the next 4 years can tell whether the ABC / Ken Sim majority would be a good thing for Vancouver.

God bless Vancouver~

whitev70r 10-15-2022 09:20 PM

Honestly, I didn't know who to vote for the councillors, there were SO many !!! So my strategy was to vote for a few ABC candidates so hopefully, a group of them can get some things done but I did vote for one or two non ABC to keep them in check. And I chose those whose name sounded pleasant to me ... :lol

Stewart Kennedy is giving his concession speech already ...

GS8 10-15-2022 09:47 PM

The election ran over Dougie's foot.

And THIS woman must be ecstatic now that Mayor err ex Mayor Stewie will exuent.

whitev70r 10-15-2022 09:50 PM

Sim victory speech is hopeful and gracious ...

Hondaracer 10-15-2022 11:25 PM

It was the case if it’s gotten so bad in Vancouver any other option was better.

Here’s hoping for the best. Admittedly I wasn’t able to vote but likely would have voted for Sim

supafamous 10-16-2022 06:15 AM

It was the devil they know (Stewart) vs the devil they didn't know (Sim) and Vancouver went with the guy who won't do anything about the housing crisis (Sim). At least Colleen Hardwick, Jean Swanson, and Melissa DeGenova were voted out! Fucking yes!!!!

supafamous 10-16-2022 06:23 AM

In Burnaby turnout was abysmal - about 20% (down from 32% last election) and likely caused by the fact that the mayor won by acclimation. 5 out of 8 incumbents got re-elected with 3 of them being useless but half the council is now a visible minority, the average demographic got much younger (2 councillors died in office last round!), and at least half of council has said they want to do something about the housing crisis (several incumbents watched this fire burn for several terms though - fuck those guys).

Hondaracer 10-16-2022 06:54 AM

Two days after I hung a “no soliciting” sign on my door the dumb bitch Chrstine Boyle who was running for council knocked on my door.

Was ready to snap on her, typical politician can’t fucking understand her constituents

This is not entirely true, I know many many many people who are working currently for SPS on both the civilian and officer side…

They have hired people but they are not active. They are not doing patrols or making any arrests.

bcedhk 10-16-2022 08:33 AM

So will Dougie have to pay out of pocket now for the legal battle?

Or is he already packing his luggage to flea to South America/SE Asia?

Locke said last night if he loses they'll be making him pay.

The people who care enough to vote are, for the most part, homeowners who don't really want to see a ton of change.
