^ Like the previous poster said, its a big YMMV nowadays. Before definitely you can blanket statement Toronto wages were much better than Vancouver. I've recently been in talks with a few large national recruiting firms and as a potential client of theirs, they have reports on salary ranges in many of the sectors you mentioned and the wage disparity isn't nearly as big as it was before. Some of those listed sectors report Vancouver as higher paying than Toronto as well.

What a fucking goof. What's worse is the people that are going to metaphorically blow this dude for "standing up for free speech" and say people are "too sensitive." There was clear intent in that tweet.

What an idiot. What does the comment / tweet even achieve, or intended to achieve? Was it supposed to be funny? Was it supposed to mock Jagmeet Singh in some way? I honestly don't know because it was just a turban.
On a completely separate note, I think Jagmeet's "grilling" of Galen Weston Jr. was totally garbage. It was clear GW Jr. did his homework before before showing up at Parliament Hill, and I felt like Jagmeet couldn't land a single valid blow based on logic and solid argument on GW Jr.
Crazy a guy that can’t string together a sentence in a scripted debate isn’t able to debate with a well-spoken, incredibly well prepared billionaire CEO
Who’d have thought??!
To be honest I gotta say I got a little chuckle out of the first turban comment as I just remember one of my friends growing up shopped only at superstore and when you opened anything whether it be pantry or fridge it was nothing but that no name yellow

You have a trained defence lawyer who has taken cases to court vs a billionaire that had a team full of high priced suits who prepped him for days.
Galens responses are all canned B.S. He claims they are losing money on milk but there price for a 4 litre jug of 2% is 50 cents more than Costco. Only 61 cents cheaper then our gas station.

Milk is cheapest at Shoppers Drug Mart, with seniors discount............. just saiyan. BTW, thanks, Galen, for the Optimum points program. 20X events, Points Redemption Event, etc. Purchased Beats Studio, Beats Pill (2), HomePod Mini (5) Apple 4K TV+, AirPods (various generations), Air Tags (6), etc. All using Optimum points. Get most points from Superstore, then redeeming them at Shoppers, where you get best bang for your points. BTW, Shoppers has clued in and their prices on electronics (especially Apple products) are more than anywhere else. Gotta be careful what you get and for how much. Must do your research. Example, HomePod Mini is $20.00 more than everywhere else. Store has them for the same MSRP, but you have to make sure you don't get charged the higher on-line price. The last one I purchased, I had to get them to reverse the on-line price they tried to charge me. That Seniors discount is great, btw. Go, Galen, lol.

^ yah weird. Not sure if he was kicked out of the caucas?
Edit - I see, he was encouraging China to hold the 2 Michaels ... that whole Meng Wanzhou shitshow is getting even more unreal.
Liberal MP Han Dong, who is at the centre of Chinese influence allegations, privately advised a senior Chinese diplomat in February 2021 that Beijing should hold off freeing Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, according to two separate national security sources.
Both sources said Dong allegedly suggested to Han Tao, China’s consul general in Toronto, that if Beijing released the “Two Michaels,” whom China accused of espionage, the Opposition Conservatives would benefit.
Now internal security sources reporting he was telling China to hold off on releasing the two Michaels because it would benefit the conservatives! Lol!
what a fucking shit show. And you think these people are any better than the cons? Recommending holding canadian citizens in Chinese jail for political gain???

The common narrative is that Canada is a country that is rapidly in decline. If that is the case, why do we have so many people who are still coming, whether temporarily for a few years, or settling for the longer term?
Free healthcare, free housing, socially liberal acceptance of not integrating into society and bringing your own religious and political beliefs with you? Virtually Open borders, completely lax visa programs? Not having to follow normal avenues for citizenship?

Yeah imagine coming to another country and bringing your own language, not following the customs and rules of the people that already live there and then trying to force your religion on them.
Crazy that could ever happen in canada.

What really pisses me off is all these foreigners bringing in all this weird food. Great you are from japan but who want's to eat raw fish with rice and seaweed. They should try to fit in by learning how to make poutine and cheese burgers. can you even get a good poutine in Vancouver?
Image someone going to Portugal and complaining they can't get good sushi. If you want good sushi go to Japan.

You mean how Western Immigrants (sorry..."Expats") act anywhere else in the world?
It’s funny you bring that up like it’s a point you actually care about as opposed to just countering my argument. Sweet, hundreds of years ago shit happened so now let’s use it to justify the shit situation we continue to perpetuate
So you must really care that the popes “visit” cost 50+ million?

What's different now? Let me know when the Somali grandma who doesn't learn English (or French) puts you in a residential school.
The closest thing anyone is getting to having a religion forced on them in canada is by Christians that have lived here for generations, and catholic schools.
On a lighter note, my buddy is at Ottawa airport right now waiting for a connecting flight and he can see Airforce One in full view on the tarmac! Pretty damn cool!! Not often you see this big boy in Canada.
