David Johnson said no to public inquiry into China Interference. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/joh...port-1.6851735 |
Who will win in AB? NDP or UCP? |
probably ucp. alberta sucks. |
2 piles of 💩 -- whichever pile wins out is still going to be bad for the rest of Canada, and esp bad for BC. |
Wonder why there isn't a centrist Liberal party in AB? |
can we bc blow the wind back to alb? |
This is just getting insane. https://i.imgur.com/HAolyD1.jpg https://beta.ctvnews.ca/national/can...33818.amp.html The DTES and many major Canadian cities are looking worse than African slums and now we’re trying to invite HIV positive LGBT refugees? Lol.. At some point.. even the most die hard liberal has to admit.. the plights of LGBTQS+ Ugandans is not our concern. And before someone actually tries to defend “iTs nOt aS bAd aS aFrIcA!!!” My buddy from Toronto came last month and stayed at fairmont pac rim for a conference. He lived in the DRC in the Congo for 4 years and had friends/colleagues in the slums living in corrugated steel sheds and he’s like the DTES is wayyyy worse than a fucking live War-zone lol.. This country is falling apart. Canada treats an HIV + Ugandan Trans person better than 5th generation Canadian war vet? :lol |
I don't think it says anywhere in the article they're literally seeking out people who are HIV+? It says they're looking to help at-risk people who might be persecuted because of their sexual orientation. I don't see anything wrong with that at all? They're at risk of being put to death in some places, what better reason for a refugee claim than that? |
And Canada is the only country with an association to this group? lol Why are the politics of other countries our concern? Intervening in Central African countries business? Lol At my new job im working with infinitely more intelligent/professional people with actual life experience and there are a couple, some of the very few, I’ve run into who openly admit they voted for Trudeau previously. All of them are now saying they will no longer vote liberal going forward. While this is only an incredibly small sample size, I think it’s fairly accurate of the bigger picture and peoples changing perceptions of the liberal party. |
Lol the mental gymnastics performed to turn that into "canada treats HIV+ Ugandan people better than war vets" should have won gold at Sochi |
Hey, I do those just for you guys. Give ya a little somthing on a Friday morning :lol |
We got enough fags in this country already |
LOL mikes looking for that Dukes kind of infraction. |
lololol :lol RIP Mike |
Should I add an /s? :lol |
David Johnston resigned or stepped down as special rapporteur on foreign interference ... if anyone cares. And what the hell is a rapporteur ? Guy is like 82 yo ... why did you even bother doing this? Pension not enough $$?? Pretty damn stupid to accept the appointment in the first place knowing the connection with the Trudeaus. |
Asian wins mayoral race in Canada's biggest city ... now there are 2 Asians in 3 of the biggest cities in Canada. (Montreal is #2 in terms of size/population) Asian hate? China Interference? What's going on? Edit - just discovered that 102 candidates ran for the mayor of Toronto ??!! Winner, Olivia Chow only got 37.2% of the vote. Judging by the results, it was only a 2 horse race. Steep drop off after the 2nd candidate to 3rd candidate. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...ults-1.6889041 |

What surprised me though was Chris Saccoccia's results -- #9 in the total vote count. This guy is more widely recognized as "Chris Sky", a conspiracy theorist known for his involvement in the anti-mask, anti-lockdown, COVID-19 denial and anti-vaccine movements during the COVID-19 pandemic. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...cropped%29.jpg Yes, he only got 1.1% of the vote, but IMO, that is 1.1% too much.
