This is the trash that hijacked downtown Ottawa. But, you know some people out there (and on here) want to sit there and legitimize their behaviour and justify their cause.

My buddy’s son in Toronto is starting beavers and in order to help out you have to take some kind of training course etc.
As part of the scouts handbook he just sent a line about rock climbing and another scout seeing the dick of a scout that Identifies as a girl and the bullying they endure because of being better at rock climbing as a girl, but at the same time having a dick visible through their shorts as they are climbing and being called out by the “real boys” that are ashamed of being beaten up the hill by a trans girl..

Yep, my wife just went through that program last year as she became a scouter with my son's Beaver group. (WOAH A WOMAN AS A BEAVER LEADER EVEN THAT WAS SCANDALOUS NOT TOO LONG AGO!)
I guess the better solution is to boot those kids (the trans ones) back into the closet and make them suffer so the other "normie kids" can feel what it was like back in the carefree "old days", rather than actually learning about how to handle those situations.
They can do whatever they want. Just glad I don’t have to deal with it.
Btw, back in the early 90’s we had female beaver leaders, wasn’t that groundbreaking.
Kids can do whatever they feel, especially now, but honestly if you’re of beavers age and you think you’re trans.. I dunno what to say. Give it a decade and see where you’re at. Because I find it pretty hard to believe any of the kids I know currently in beavers even know the basics of any of this shit let alone trying to decide your gender when your 5 lol.
To be honest, if I had a kid beavers age and there was some acquaintance or even a kid in the same beavers group I’d be pretty hesitant to expose them to a child their age, 4-5 who thinks they are trans etc. got nothing against the education part of it efc. But kids that young are not being taught any of that at that point so now you’ve got a big group of kids and the parents/leaders who frankly are not equipped to educate the rest of the kids on this matter.

For those who have been following, it was pretty clear that the Conservatives were gonna lose (to the NDP). It was just a matter of how badly the lost was gonna be.
Throughout the election campaign, I have no idea why the Conservative leader was so resistant to the idea of proceeding with the landfill search for the several missing women's bodies. The writing was on the wall that Manitobans wanted the search to be done, costs be damned. But she just kept refusing to do it, despite subject matter experts saying that it could be done safely.
And then she still had to do a distasteful attack ad to reiterate her refusal to do the search. She was literally digging her own grave at that point.
IMO, the NDP leader's budget math is not going to add up -- I just don't see how they would be able to deliver a balanced budget while fulfilling the big ticket items in their campaign promises. But that'll be a story for another day. For now, it seemed pretty obvious that Manitobans just wanted to get rid of the distasteful Conservatives.
That was so cringe but I feel like I shouldn't be surprised. She answered it like a politician, redirect, deflect and avoid answering the question.

You wonder why nobody wants to enter politics. When this is the garbage you would have to deal with, it's completely infuriating.
In that regard, it is really refreshing to see Olivia Chow being Toronto's mayor. I may or may not agree with her policies and her NDP tendencies, but she comes across as someone who is genuinely interested in making her city a better place to live, working hard to tackle the gargantuan problems that her city is facing, and finding solutions to resolve them.
The fellow who won the Provincial election in Manitoba, Wab Kinew does seem like a genuinely character guy. Glad he won. It sounds like he had a checkered past but sincerely learned and grew from it.
In one interview, he said:
My life became immeasurably better when I stopped making excuses and I started looking for a reason. And I found that reason in our family, I found that reason in our community and I found that reason in our province and country.
"So young people out there who want to change your life for the better: you can do it."
Yea, if the govt. cuts you a cheque every month lol.
I find it very difficult to take anyone in govt. at face value because literally every single person is a sack of shit by the end of it. Also outside of being some sort of ego-maniac, I don’t see the drive to become a politician at any level, you’ll never enact any real change in societies like have, with govt. the way it is in Canada.
On top of that, if you were really so smart, so driven etc. the private sector would offer you virtually endless possibilities in both growth and financial opportunities. Sure some federal pension is sweet, but if you’re making double or triple the salary you’d make as a politician, the pension is meaningless and you’re not in the spotlight, you’re not accountable to thousands of people etc.
That’s why we have the imbeciles we do at the federal level because why would anyone with any actual talent become a politician these days.
