Hearing it more and more anecdotally from people and their issues with the level of immigration from a single country in particular, this country carries 300% more immigrants coming into Canada than the second placed country (China).

I really believe this will end up being one of the primary factors to the Liberal party's downfall next election.

This whole narrative is bubbling up and becoming akin to the whole "build the wall", Latin America immigration factor in the States.

Astonishingly, we found in our survey that 81 per cent of Canadians feel that in Canada more emphasis is currently being placed on things that divide us as a society as opposed to things that unite us.
In b4 its parties that have no power in federal politics responsible for this heheh

My brother takes the skytrain from Surrey central a few times a week over the last 2 years or so and he said in the last year the platform at Surrey central is nearly 100% Indian (seemingly temp workers/international students)

I told him I didn’t believe him it was that much. Then I took the skytrain there after work one day… lol was literally the only white person on the platform

I’m leaning towards it’s better that these chain businesses most likely abusing the TFW all fail and can’t find people to employ as oppose to staying open for our convenience at the cost of housing affordability, and destroying small business.

westopher 11-29-2023 10:48 AM

If we can't house immigrants, or the people here, then yeah there is no well thought plan for immigration here and it's causing a problem, but just because there's some brown guys on a train doesn't mean they are all new immigrants lol. Surrey has Indian families as a huge demographic for as long as our white families have been here.
I'm absolutely with you though, that if these businesses can't find staff and get fucked by it, that's good for the country as a whole. Either they need to pay more, or they leave. Either or is great for Canadians.

Justice Department Announces Charges in Connection with Foiled Plot to Assassinate U.S. Citizen in New York City

Quote:

Indian Government Employee Directed a Plot from India to Murder U.S.-Based Leader of Sikh Separatist Movement

Today in the Southern District of New York, a superseding indictment was unsealed alleging murder-for-hire charges against Indian national Nikhil Gupta, aka Nick, 52, in connection with his participation in a foiled plot to assassinate a U.S. citizen in New York City. Czech authorities arrested and detained Gupta on June 30, 2023 pursuant to the bilateral extradition treaty between the United States and the Czech Republic.

According to court documents, earlier this year, an Indian government employee (CC-1), working together with others, including Gupta, in India and elsewhere, directed a plot to assassinate on U.S. soil an attorney and political activist who is a U.S. citizen of Indian origin residing in New York City (the Victim).

Gupta is an Indian national who resides in India, is an associate of CC-1 and has described his involvement in international narcotics and weapons trafficking in his communications with CC-1 and others. CC-1 is an Indian government agency employee who has variously described himself as a “Senior Field Officer” with responsibilities in “Security Management” and “Intelligence,” and who also has referenced previously serving in India’s Central Reserve Police Force and receiving “officer[] training” in “battle craft” and “weapons.” CC-1 directed the assassination plot from India.
I wonder what PP will say now. JT was right all along.

Go figure that the Americans have the balls to actually press charges and do something about it, what did JT end up doing outside of crying to the media about it?

Canada is a paper tiger.

The us cought and exdridited the person from the Czech rupublic. The person hired a hitman who was a US informant. The person cought had sent a picture of Nijjars dead body to the hitman. This has nothing to do with balls. If JT had names he would have asked for there arrest.

JT taking about the arrest.

My favourite was when his plane broke down, leaving him stranded in India :lol

Even his plane doesn't like him.

They had a suspect in custody to be able to do so?

Who do you think Canada was supposed to press charges against? The Indian PM or something?

The murder rate in B.C. spiked significantly in 2022, according to new data from Statistics Canada.

Collected data shows there were 155 homicides in B.C. in 2022. That total is 30 more than in 2021 and 55 more than in 2020.

Maybe it has something to do with the covid lockdown?

murd0c 11-30-2023 08:40 AM

of course the murders were lower in 2020 because of the covid lockdown. The gangsters had to stay home and couldn't go to earls and DT to party.

How so?

We have pictures of the vehicles, we know the amount of suspects, I wouldn't be surprised if IHIT knows who did this, but we're walking on eggshells.

JT goes to the media saying India clearly did this, and they laugh at us, proceeds to excel Canadians from their country, zero consequences. The US puts together a sting operation (only back in June), and they get their suspect. India immediately puts out a statement to conduct a rigorous investigation.

Perhaps my ire is more directed at the RCMP, by extension of Trudeau.

Even the bloody article poses why the Americans were able to solve their case, meanwhile Canada has had a history of Indian influence and violence, but nothing to show for it.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/us-uns...ings-1.7043428

"Canada's foreign minister was asked a related question Wednesday: Why had U.S. authorities managed to thwart a purported assassination, when Canada had not?

I stand by my comment.

Manic! 11-30-2023 11:43 AM

The US was able to catch the guy because he hired a DEA agent.

1)The plane didn't "break down" he was scared as F
India offered to provide a plane... hells no he wasn't going to take that.. what if they record their converstaions etc. You think Trump, Obama would take / trust a plane that wasn't theirs.
2) India's newspaper keeps saying T is just making up news to get votes.
3) T wanted to confront but we are canadian and hey we always want to ensure we have an exit strategy just in case.

Federal bail reform bill just passed. Onus is now on violent offenders to prove that they should be released on bail as opposed to the courts to prove they should not.
Good move by the government, but I worry that courts could overturn this as a violation of rights based on the innocent until proven guilty framework of our justice system, and the absurd delays in courts. Hopefully it sticks.

whitev70r 12-01-2023 07:12 AM

^ but they've already been found guilty in a court of law. So hopefully, like you alluded to, it sticks.

westopher 12-01-2023 07:13 AM

I don't think so. I honestly am not well versed, but isn't bail only an option after you are arrested and awaiting trial? Or am I wrong and it's post trial pre sentencing?

whitev70r 12-01-2023 07:15 AM

I see ... it's bail, not early release for offenders and criminals. My mistake.

This is fantastic and brings us closer to how the Brits treat bail from a judicial perspective.

Come on Honda, where you at? :lol

westopher 12-01-2023 11:18 AM

He will find a reason to be upset about it don't worry.
It's like when my daughter asks for cereal, then I put it down in front of her and she starts crying as says "nooooooo no cereal"

Hondaracer 12-01-2023 11:31 AM

If it actually sticks, good for them

Won’t celebrate until judges actually keep chronic offenders behind bars

westopher 12-01-2023 11:54 AM

Yeah I'm hesitant to believe it will for reasons of it being unconstitutional. If they put violent crimes to the forefront of the courts it could help, and this might light a fire under their ass to do that.

Manic! 12-01-2023 12:47 PM

I'm waiting for the cons take on this. They disagree with everything JT does.

whitev70r 12-06-2023 03:38 PM

In municipal news, it looks like Ken Sims and ABC want to pull a power move and ask the Province to change the charter for the city so that the Park board will not be elected. Guess Vancouver city and Park Board not getting along.

Vancouver is B.C.'s only city with an elected park board. Mayor Ken Sim wants to change that

PP threatens MPs with temper tantrum that may cost them Christmas vacation.
While I don't agree with the goal, the idea of all these fucks losing their vacation is definitely after my heart.

whitev70r 12-06-2023 03:58 PM

^ yah, what I don't get is that doesn't this move screw over yourself cuz ALL the MP's won't get to go home for Christmas. Cannot the NDP and Libs gang up and just call for a recess?
