Maybe if I rent out every square inch of my lifestyle one day I’ll be able to own a bunch of 10 year old vehicles as well.

MarkyMark 04-25-2024 09:40 PM

Yeah would love to have to ask auntie, uncle and grandpa to move their car everytime I need to go somewhere, we really made it baby.

You miss the R8 and the Mercedes in the garage and the boat on the left. Have a few other cars not in the pick. No one in our family has to worry about money. We are set for generations.

I guess some people would rather post online how there family come on the Mayflower and build Canada but now can barley afford rent.

Besides the fact Honda is still right, I would be rolling in my grave if I knew that I lived with 8 dudes jizzing beside me, just so the legacy of my sacrifice is a bunch of entitled Gen Alpha shit head grand children whose ambition is to be famous on onlyfans.

That's easy to say with hindsight. Without that luxury there's still large elements of luck involved. Both in getting those returns and being alive and healthy enough to actually enjoy them. Through no fault of their own too many people don't get to have both of those things. A lot of people aren't willing to gamble enjoying their life (and their kids) when they're younger on that maybe.

I know I'm not. And I like knowing that if there's any jizz on my curtains it's at least mine.

The house is empty most of the time but costing them a bunch of money every month.

I like how the guy who didn't do any of the actual work to enjoy what he has today is on here lecturing us on how to get ahead. You look good on your condo purchase and your R8 and your GR Corolla because your dad gave you the life that allowed you to have any capital to purchase it in the first place. I mean, good for you man, I'm genuinely happy for you, but don't walk around here swinging some big dick that ain't yours.

A little humility goes a long way.

Just when I thought RS couldn't get any more cringe...we're now flexing pics of our parent's garages now?

GLOW 04-26-2024 09:44 AM

flex all the hoarding of junk they've stored in their garage over the years :ilied:

:okay:

GLOW 04-26-2024 10:26 AM

i have to admit i do feel extra peasanty after reading his posts :lol

:okay:

Hondaracer 04-26-2024 10:56 AM

Honestly, and this might sound douchy or whatever, but really cars under 200k are a poor persons flex for the most part.

You’ve got a car anyone with 600 credit and above can afford. It’s not a flex.

If the cars people drove reflected their net worth, you’d see a lot more Mazda 2’s.

Leave manic alone!

mikemhg 04-26-2024 12:13 PM

God damn, I was trying to have a debate on tax policy and now we're roasting Manic on his trust fund baby flexing.

Too funny. I like Manic, but damn, you can't flex and tell people how to prosper when your primary career is running a family owned Husky station.

People think I am trying to flex but what about all the people honda knows that have so much money they can buy a second house and leave it empty for most of the year. That's the real flex.

People owning a home they bought 25 years ago and not wanting to rent it out isn’t a flex.

Most of these properties were bought during a time when hoarding property for the sake of profit gain was not even the slightest consideration. They were purchased for… wait for it… recreation/leisure.

Most of these people and families who own these homes were at a stage in life decades ago where the extra 30-50k you might make was not worth it. So now, as families age, kids and relatives use the properties more, it makes it even less worth it to tie up a property with a rental etc. if you’re a family of 5, say 2 parents, 3 kids, and their 1-3 kids, what does this “extra” money get you besides the headaches associated with the rental?

Don’t get what’s so hard for you to wrap your head around people having properties full of their stuff, for their family, not wanting Joe nose beers to spend a night puking up bile in their ensuite.

68style 04-26-2024 01:35 PM

My sister still talks about how she would love to buy a cabin or something on the island to take my niece and nephew too... I always cock my head to the side and ask her if she was born in nineteen dickety two cuz that shit sailed with our parents era lol

Hondaracer 04-26-2024 01:55 PM

Anything decent within 5 hours from the lower mainland is touching 700+ now

There’s been a few places I’ve been very tempted to look at property but frankly, without kids, I’ve always been of the mind that I’d rather go to a bunch of different places than have a single place you always end up at.

That’s also the downside which Manic doesn’t seem to understand in that for many people with “vacation” homes, they do -nothing- but go to those vacation homes during their time off. That is their vacations. They aren’t going to Disneyland or a cruise because the amount of time and maintenance to simply upkeep these properties.

CivicBlues 04-26-2024 02:03 PM

Fuck I'm so sick and tired of hearing about White privilege cottages and immigrant hustler slumlords. Where is the love for people who just quietly paid down their (one) mortgage and try to raise their kids right? Where is the loooove?? Where are their fucking tax breaks??

twitchyzero 04-26-2024 02:04 PM

that's a lot of jizz talk in a poli thread, classic RS!

not that i agree with flaunting so much but if jizzed curtains means a gated r8 v10, count me in lol

Great68 04-26-2024 02:05 PM

You might be able to find a vacant lot on the island around the 300k mark these days, but it's going to be somewhere way out there like Zeballos, Tahsis, Port Alice, etc. Lol.
