Conservative MPs having ties to India would not surprise me either, given Harper's ties with Modi and India. So if the news blows up, I'd expect all major parties to be affected. The question would only be -- which party has the largest number of sellouts?

JT has the list and is preparing for the fallout. I'm guessing he will first release the names to all party leaders who have security clearance. Guess who refuses to get his clearance? PP will be made to look like a fool again just like he did over the nijjar murder. The names will be released to everyone close to the election leaving pp to scramble.

But that's all just a guess.

Hold up... PP doesn't have security clearance? What level?

I mean, you can't even work in data entry without minimum enhanced reliability as a regular government employee, how the hell can the leader of the opposition not have any clearance? He must have some kind of clearance, just not Top Secret??

edit: Looks like he has either Enhanced or Secret... but refuses to upgrade to Top Secret. Bro def has some shit to hide, there's no reason... they don't even do lie detector tests anymore for TS... so there's some stuff he doesn't want investigated if he's saying no.

underscore 06-04-2024 03:26 PM

iirc him not having TS lets him not get in trouble for some of the crap he spews that's blatantly false.

It's so funny when politicians go full retard like this. Like, they definitely guarantee support from the swamp dwellers, and alienate the other 95% of the population. It's like the Maxime Bernier playbook.

If they aren’t an actual house representative what does it matter.

If you’re just the critic with zero power, what influence could you possibly have over anything? You’re a huge second on the cons side to a encumbant liberal and you think your connections to India matter? lol you’re irrelevant.

Whoever is an actual voting member whose names come out are the ones who are complicit. Regardless of the party.

So you believe pp will lose the next election and those critics won't get cabinet positions? They also could be used to sabotage there own party.

At this point, I don’t even care.

Just want to see JT’s downfall, and it’s fairly inevitable the liberals will be largely involved in the foreign interference.

68style 06-04-2024 05:19 PM

haha honda seeing JT in his nightmares

waking up in a cold sweat... if only there was something moisture absorbent in your washroom to dry your brow with LUL

mikemhg 06-06-2024 09:59 AM

I think JT must've fucked one of his bitches or something.

murd0c 06-06-2024 02:41 PM

maybe JT fucked him and left him on read after

A clowns a clown, whether it’s on your sports team or in your work place. Eventually you’d be ok if you never see that person ever again. And we’ve got the biggest one going

He has won 3 elections. He beat your boy and Indian government dick rider harper. I could not believe you thought he was going to win. Beat that half American scheer who needed party help to pay for his kid's school and his clothes. Beat that other guy. Anyone remember who he was? Now you got pp the biggest clown of them all.

Ahh Harper, a time when Canada was actually respected, those were the days

So much respect at the UN.

mikemhg 06-07-2024 08:56 AM

These names being withheld of MPs actively collaborating with foreign actors could end up being a massive deal.

Really starts putting into perspective some of these policy initiatives passed through that made no sense whatsoever for the common Canadian.

I believe there is a ton of rot in all levels of our government (in all parties as well), it's all slowly coming out now.

CivicBlues 06-07-2024 10:10 AM

I'm going out on a limb to say that a large number of Indian-origin MPs are compromised, as is a large number of Chinese-origin, Iranian-origin, etc. It's certainly not going to be a good look for anyone if the dust ever settles it's going to put a black mark on pretty much any ethnic Canadian running for office for years.

It's funny in the US, you have all these minority politicians but they're all like 2nd generation or more and try to outdo each other by changing their name to something "More American" and being super right wing. Whereas in Canada seems like if you're fresh off the boat and can help get the "ethnic vote" they'll put you on a ballot no questions asked.

New report says Alberta could save over 2 billion a year if they had government run insurance like we have in BC. But Smith would rather give the money to private corporations. The BC conservative party wants to have private insurance like Alberta.

https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/premier-...ings-1.6917171

Quote:

Making the switch, Nous estimated, could save Albertans around $730 a year on premiums for an estimated $2.1 billion in consumer savings across the province.

Traum 06-08-2024 07:42 PM

The way I read the whole thing is -- I was LOL-ing at how much more expensive their private system is, btw -- public insurance was a non-starter for Alberta because the province doesn't want to foot / doesn't have the start up money to fund it:

Quote:

Nous estimates Alberta would pay between $100 million and $500 million in start-up costs, with an initial injection of $2.3 billion in capital reserves needed to cover claims.
It takes a leader to push through an expensive initiative like this, and Danielle Smith and the UCP aren't exactly in the strongest position to take that risk now, so I am not surprised they are very reluctant to go with this step.

END THE ICBC MONOPOLY

ICBC is a bloated, ineffective government monopoly that charges some of the highest rates in the entire country. It’s time to allow choice and competition so that British Columbians can shop around for the price and plan that’s right for them.

110 million for anti racism “strategies” :lol

Launder as much money as possible before losing power?

So let me get this straight.. we openly support the Israeli genocide.. we allow violent Palestinian protests take over campuses, and now we are pumping 110 million into “anti racism strategies”

This country is so fucking stupiddddddd.

Qmx323 06-09-2024 11:02 PM

It's me, hi, I'm an anti-racism strategist

Badhobz 06-10-2024 05:01 AM

No! We need more racism. These kids are too soft nowadays.

Traum 06-10-2024 12:05 PM

Well... the numbers are a bit higher than I was expecting, but I really can't say I am surprised...

1 in 3 ‘seriously’ considering leaving B.C. due to cost of living pressures: poll
https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2024/0...iving-housing/

Quote:

The Angus Reid poll shows about 36 per cent of those polled are “seriously considering leaving British Columbia because of the cost of housing here.”

...

The poll suggests that those in the Fraser Valley are most likely to be considering a move compared with residents in other parts of the province. Forty-two per cent of those in the Valley are thinking of moving, while only 22 per cent of those living on Vancouver Island are thinking of leaving.

...

“Half of 18- to 34-year-olds and more than two-in-five 35- to 54-year-olds say they are seriously thinking of leaving the province because of the cost of housing.

westopher 06-10-2024 01:44 PM

Answering a question on your phone is a lot different than actually seriously doing something though.
Honda has been "moving to Portugal" for the better part of a decade now and he'd be doing that with free money from his home equity and a free EU passport from his wife.
If 1/50 of those 1/3 actually did anything I'd be astonished.
