Cons keep getting dumber.

Manic! 06-14-2024 01:21 AM

Did I call it or what? pp being roasted for not having security clearance. May and Singh have both read the report.

Hondaracer 06-14-2024 06:32 AM

lol oh yea that’s groundbreaking.. knowing Singh he probably just misunderstood the report.

Just release it then if it’s so damning..

Jagmeet is a fucking lawyer. Pp is what? A former Telus employee?

I'm no expert but there are probably legal reasons why they can't release it to the public yet. There could be charges coming.

Pp and the cons have not said anything for a reason. I bet they are shitting there pants right now.

Hondaracer 06-14-2024 09:11 AM

Jagmeet can barely spit out his poorly worded thoughts, I’m sure he’s just pandering when May, who has literally nothing to lose says she isn’t worried?

If anyone would ride the report it’s her cause she might actually be able to swing a few seats for her irrelevant party

Release the report.

mikemhg 06-14-2024 09:32 AM

I dunno, every supposed person I've vaguely seen thus far have MPs from the Cons.

It is pretty funny that PP is a party leader, PM hopeful, and doesn't have gainful security clearance like the other leaders do, you don't find that funny Honda?

It makes me wonder his legitimacy as a leader, how dedicated are you to doing this job if you haven't even conducted the proper requirements needed to lead in the first place? Is he simply lazy then, or incompetent?

Lol at T employee.
PP's never held a real job as an adult. Politics right from the start. Career politician.

Kinda goes to show the state of the country we have when he’s going to win a majority with a totally half ass campaign and questions surrounding every aspect of his leadership no?

New clown same circus. I think your average voter honestly doesn’t even care or know about this report. They are just done with the liberals.

Pretty sure the Telus employee reference is a nice fat juicy jab at a frequent RS member lol~

No it's literally the only job pp has had. He worked for telus for less than a year in high school.

mikemhg 06-14-2024 10:40 AM

PP's lack of security clearance and the inability to see these named members of his party is the equivalent to the elementary school kid covering his eyes going "I can't see youuu, you don't exist nowwwwww, naanaaaa."

westopher 06-14-2024 11:39 AM

It's actually wild to see PP blowing it all up. Every time he opens his mouth, a group of people that were going to go vote cons because they hate Trudeau are like, "well fuck maybe I do have to vote for that idiot we already have"
Trudeau couldn't have done better if he were able to choose the con leader himself.

68style 06-14-2024 12:16 PM

I was on Kingsway yesterday, and a lifted truck was stopped at the light with a F*CK TRUDEAU sticker on his back and rear crew cab windows along with the hand grenade sticker they all have too.

His windows were down and I said "Hey!" and he looked over and then I pointed at the back window and said "Is it because he's so handsome? You must be really attracted to him!" while laughing and he starts yelling "FUCK YOU F4G..." but the light already turned green and the car behind him started honking and he BRUHMMMMMS away at the light with diesel smoke pouring out his can so I didn't hear the rest, but ahahahaha!!!

I had an idle thought one day to have "I'd" stickers made up in that same font to add onto the "F*ck Trudeau" bumper stickers.
Same idea different execution.

Idiot afraid government will ban highways.

Pierre Poilievre, worried that highways will be banned
I'm not going to be constrained by the policies of another radical, incompetent, extremist who wants to ban cars, ban tanks, ban highways.

Canadian food bank estimates a quarter of all Canadians are living in poverty

https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/more-can...0%20per%20cent.

All the while we are hitting huge milestones for population growth almost exclusively backed by “temporary” residents

https://globalnews.ca/news/10386750/...opulation/amp/

Quote:

The speed at which Canada’s population is growing was also reflected in new data released Wednesday by the federal agency: between Jan. 1 2023 and Jan. 1 2024, Canada added 1,271,872 inhabitants, a 3.2 per cent growth rate — the highest since 1957.

Most of Canada’s 3.2 per cent population growth rate stemmed from temporary immigration. Without it, Canada’s population growth would have been 1.2 per cent, Statistics Canada said.
With the liberal governments approval rating hitting an all time low, and 70% of people wanting Turd to resign.. lol

https://globalnews.ca/news/10574422/...ign-ipsos/amp/

Now.. I’ll get out ahead of the “bUt wHaT iS pP goNnA dO?!?!”

It doesn’t matter what any government is going to do. The current liberals have backed Canada into a corner we’re not gonna get out of.

If you think poverty and homelessness is bad now, wait 4 years.

Traum 06-19-2024 08:37 PM

To think that Turd still wants to run for the next PM despite that 68% of Canadians wants him to step down is really quite something. What degree of shamelessness would you need to have in order to pull that off?

And everyone in the Liberals Party is guilty of not stepping up to point out the elephant in the room. The plain and simple fact is, Turd is the single biggest liability of the Liberals Party, but everyone in the party would just rather see the whole party take the gut punch and lose 4 years of time or more.

I really don't get it. When the party goes down in flames, its members get drag down as well as collateral damage. They lose their jobs as MPs, aids, etc. They are losing money (income / funding) and influence. They might be out of a job. Why would anyone want that? And yet they still choose to do nothing (about pressuring Turd to leave).

What’s there to fear about Pierre Poilievre?

Quote:

Canada has never had a federal Conservative or Liberal leader who fit the term “career politician” more precisely than Pierre Poilievre. He was consumed by politics as a kid and has done nothing except politics ever since. A well-rounded man, he is not.
Quote:

Lifelong politicians are knocked because they have an even greater tendency than others to prioritize what’s good for scoring political points over what’s good for the country. The era of brutal partisanship we’re in now will only escalate should Mr. Poilievre come to power.
Quote:

The Conservative Leader checks off a lot of boxes for populist demagogues. He attacks the mainstream media, he traffics in conspiracy theories, demeans democratic institutions, appeals to the lowest common denominator, and relentlessly attacks elites. Throw in a hefty dose of apparent narcissism, and it’s quite a list.
Also on Trudeau related to the above post:

Quote:

In his engaging and even-handed book on the Prime Minister, The Prince, journalist Stephen Maher argues that narcissism is likely the reason Mr. Trudeau wants to try to cling to power. He appears to believe that only he can ward off the threat that Skippy poses. To believe that – especially when there are many other Liberals who share his values and who aren’t nearly as loathed – requires a hefty degree of hubris
Sigh both candidates suck.

whitev70r 06-20-2024 09:11 AM

I think some have said that it's a kind of blind loyalty. Maybe JT was instrumental in getting you on the ballot, and that you served x years and y number of terms as elected MP already. To mention the elephant in the room is to express your ungratefulness or disloyalty for 'what JT has done for you'.

Some longer standing MP's already have their pension so they can just early retire and change their careers to be consultants/lobbyists when it's time. JT has been PM for 9 yrs already. You only need to serve 6 yrs to get fat pension. The ones that only served one term or less than 6 yrs would be the ones financially affected the most and they are probably the most junior in the caucus. Not surprised really that the majority will tow the party line and are willing to go down with the ship. Honestly, I can only think that MP life after 6 yrs is enough. Terrible job, great pension, and great for money making afterwards.

On another note:

The federal government is listing Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization under Canada's Criminal Code after years of mounting pressure.

This is pretty big for Iranians here in Canada and we have a large number of immigrants from Iran. Now, Iran will have a retributive attitude towards Canada and Canadian citizens. Many Iranians here in Canada have family in Iran. Many Iranians are trying to get their Canadian citizenship and with that, their travel back to Iran will be hard and difficult. I suspect most Iranians here in Canada don't like their own government back in homeland. Tricky situation.

mikemhg 06-20-2024 10:34 AM

The level of hubris within some party leaders is truly fascinating to me. We have this problem both in Canada and the US right now.

Why Trudeau would want to run again, or feel he should, is insane. The same goes for Joe Biden, who I think has done a fine job during his term, but jesus, it should've been a single term only. No one wanted him to run again at his age, but like the Liberals, the Democrats are a bunch of sycophants that tow the party line, and "wait for their turn".

whitev70r 06-25-2024 05:45 AM

Writing is on the wall for JT and the Libs ... a byelection in central Toronto, where Liberals have held seat for 30 years, went to Cons. Like it or not, the blue wave is coming in the next federal election.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/bye...vote-1.7243748

But I doubt the attention seeking, egotistical, arrogant JT will step aside as leader of the Libs for the next election.

Hondaracer 06-25-2024 06:50 AM

A lot coming out lately questioning all the “mass graves” found at residential schools with the biggest one coming from the Kamloops band who had JT crying over “hundreds” of dead bodies now outright refusing to even consider excavation.

Getting yucky out there
