Good on Jagmeet for that, fuck that dude.

Stand by your words and say it with your chest, he cowered his comments like a little bitch.

These conservative types are usually weak willed little bastards, they talk tough and never back it up.

That guy really pussed out it's not like Jagmeet is going to ruin his career by punching some random loser on camera it's the most low risk altercation you'll ever get in with someone and the guy was still scared lol sums up all these people that talk shit behind a camera to a tee.

I dunno, Jagmeet looked kinda ready to rumble there.

I'd imagine his mind went through the course of the following:

"Hmmm, well I got enough money.."
"My party is in the dumpster right now"
"I might not even be leader come next year"
"Fuck it, sick of this shit anyways, these white dudes calling me Turbinder"
*Punch*

lol the guy in the No mAsK CaNaDa FrEe shirt pretty much shit his pants when jagmeet got in his face. There was definitely a fucking fire in his eyes there. I love to see it.
I think realistically jagmeet and the NDP are going to be getting into official opposition territory as liberals seem to be falling behind even in their absolute stranglehold ridings.
Even though you'd be getting the same liberals with a new leader if it happened, I bet they'd double their seats if JT stepped aside. He's just an anchor at this point whether it's his fault or not.

Yeah FAFO when they outnumber you 6-1 lol, I remember back in my clubbing days they wouldn't allow large groups of brown dudes in at a time for this reason alone. Once the Crown is flowing watch out

67 million dollars spent on a gun buy-back program that hasn’t bought back a single gun

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/fede...ears-1.7045362

Cost will likely be over 100 million all said and done to have never collected a single fire arm before ultimately being abandoned once cons get into power.

Great use of money. Especially for a program most “experts” said was a pipe dream from the beginning.

This was the stupidest waste of money, and regardless of how dumb it becomes nobody on the anti gun side of this debate will ever understand or see it.

The policy was stupid because nobody in this country understands what a gun is. Legally speaking the receiver of a weapon is the legal "gun".

So for the Gov't to say we are going to ban 1000's of Assault style weapons, meant that they were just banning one small component of the what makes a gun.

Everybody who owned one of those weapons would take the stock, trigger, barrel, attachment, etc off the weapon they owned turn in the receiver, and then just go out and buy a legal receiver from another brand and build a gun which basically looked identical.

Here's the thing it is just like construction, politicians are clueless, they dont know a fucking thing about these industries and they are making sweeping idiotic changes to them with no understanding of the repercussions. They waste billions a year on failed initiatives and bullshit campaigns utilizing public servants and most of them end up being abandoned before achieving anything or becoming useful at all.

And that's why Canada is falling behind, our politicians are some of the least knowledgeable people ever.

There's this book called "skin in the game", i read it a while ago, it is absolutely fantastic. There is an awesome part of the book which explains that historically "winners", highly powerful, highly influencial people were risk takers. The basis of the book was that you cant take risk without having "skin in the game", otherwise what risk are you taking. The examples were plentiful, but the most basic example was people like alexander the great, cesar, napoleon, etc. These individuals rose to power by being on the front lines of battle with their fighters during wars.

The issue with government is that politicians and civil servants have basically zero "skin in the game", yeah very rarely someone does something so stupid they get fired, but overwhelmingly things like the SNC debacle, the arrivecan scandle, this north shore water treatment plant disaster, they all get dragged out in the media, and before any reasonable conclusion with actual punishment it is forgotten about, and then it gets swept under the rug and all the civil servants and politicians that gained, profitted, or otherwise fucked it up lose nothing and keep on keeping on.

We need to give them more skin in the game, firing in politics or civil service should be a regular occurrence. I know of companies (and not small ones) that fire 10% of their lowest performing staff every year. Literally december rolls around they do their annual reviews or their evaluations, and they just go around telling the losers to pack their shit up in a cardboard box. No fucking mercy. And you know what that means, every year those employees that are around need to perform better, otherwise the next lowest 10% will be on the chopping block that year, so they all work their asses off.

Regardlsss of how you feel about provincial cons, once again politicians just show they are all sacks of shit as Eby pumps out all these policies right before the election.

Could have figured these out long before running a 10 billion dollar deficit. But since an election is coming all of a sudden public safety and housing is now a thing! lol

Eby is exactly as he was long before he became the e leader, never liked him when he was at lower levels of politics because he was a worm then, and he’s a worm now.

100%. Budget surplus or budget deficit does not matter to them. It doesn't affect any of them. Once they get elected, their job is guaranteed for 4 years. They are not like the rest of us where if we don't run our business or if we don't go or perform at work, we risk losing money.

The guy was kicked out of the B.C. libs because he denied climate change exists and they didn't want the nutbar association, but as the right goes further and further into the qanon and 4chan lifestyle, now he's exactly what they seem to want.

lol what, so other parties “care” so much about climate change they are willing to axe their carbon tax as a political ploy?

I’ll say it again, paying more for everything isn’t leaving a better world for your kids. You think a government who can’t even predict whether it will rain or not tomorrow can “fix” climate change through taxes? Lol

Personally, I regret getting the Covid vaccine because I was essentially coerced into it in order to stay employed? Hadn’t been sick in a decade prior and haven’t been sick since getting it and I needed to participate in the illusion of safety so I could keep paying my mortgage?

And again, we saw how again, the vaccine mandate for healthcare workers was nothing but a political ploy when it can be ended the second an opposition party says they will end if if they get voted in? Lol

Everything is BS, political games, nothing ever changes.

lol I don’t get what you don’t understand about the take that you can be told for a decade something is important, something that is literally sucking money out of your pockets, it’s so important we need this in order to “tackle climate change” we NEED this tax

Then literally, THE SECOND an opposition that has an opportunity to take power says they will remove it and it’s doing nothing, the parties who’ve basically lied to you for a decade about how important it is, say they will do the same.

When you listen to political analysts who look at Eby’s “flip flop” on this matter, they have the exact same point I make, in that these things are just friviolous matters that can be changed in an instant, and underline they really didn’t so anything to begin with.

This and the gun buy-back program above basically epitomize the current govts. In power. Pointless legislation that does nothing.

The irony is too, the people who got rich from carbon tax are all these already wealthy, successful, business owners who used the carbon credit system to build renewables to help the “polluters” meet quotas. Now that this is fizzling out all these companies who innovated “green” tech are laying people off in droves because their carbon credits aren’t rolling in anymore.

All the while everything else cost more for your average person.

Not hard to understand. You were lied to for a decade, at a total net loss to your personal worth, and it’s like ehh.. carbon tax eh? Lol
