Do you remember though that when the truckers were protesting, it was the USA not letting them in... had nothing to do with Canada. Trucks were allowed to cross into Canada, it was the USA that wasn't letting them come down.
Problem is all those mouth breathers just wanted to go off about something... if you think that entire thing was about Covid you're sadly mistaken. Just a hardcore right wing platform.
All these years later and people still think a bucnh of truck drivers and their 300lb wives are the ones you should have been listening too/somehow knew better than everyone else? Fuck me man lol

What truckers. I don't know a single working trucker that went to those protests and I know someone who owns a trucking company with over 400 employee's. You have a right to protest but you don't have the right to reduce the quality of life for others.

It's actually in the Canadian charters of rights and freedoms that you can desecrate the flag.

Honestly, the people chanting death to Canada, at that point they are uttering threats promoting terrorism, just fucking deport them, I'm with you on that, but to make the point about how you can't say faggot anymore just puts you in a bad faith argument with some stupid contrarian stance. Truckers had the same take rate for vaccines as everyone else, and they could all still run domestic routes, it was just a handful of idiots who were unable to do international routes because of the rules the US had.
As for the flag burning, wasn't that like yesterday? Calm down and wait a little longer to see what actually does or doesn't happen before getting all upset, that stuff takes time.

None of the people on trial for the protests are truckers. One of them is a free lance programmer, one of them is a one legged white nationalist, and another one is a wannabe politician who's Iranian husband left her for another women during her court case.

As compared to ?
I see so many people saying "THIS COUNTRY IS IN THE TOILET" online yet it's still ranked one of the best places in the world to live.
I've been driving back and forth between Vancouver and Calgary... 3 times in the last month? Many stops in between obviously... running into many people from many different provinces, especially New Brunswick weirdly enough and seeing the changing of the seasons in the Rocky Mountains and all over.
It's a beautiful place, people I've run into everyone is happy, people are doing their jobs, their walking their doggies and driving to places or running their businesses.
Go outside instead of watching the news, the world and, dare I say this country, ain't so miserable.
Did I run into a problem in Richmond last week where I couldn't get something at LifeLabs without a doctor referral and don't have a doctor to refer me nor could they suggest a walk-in clinic that took walk-ins to get a referral that way? Yes, that's true we are all aware the medical system is not in tip-top shape right now and things to address. There's always going to be problems and hotspots... the world is in a global recession of sorts right now, but it's not going to die.

For a huge majority of people, it’s pretty terrible lol.
The idea of “safety” in exchange for being a wage slave that can’t afford a hotel room for a night isn’t exactly anyone’s dream.
