That’s an $800 night for anyone who drinks, no thanks. I’d imagine the crowd for that are going to be a bunch of fucking knobs as well lol.. (except you CB :p) |
Lol I'm definitely not in that crowd of knobs... Well maybe I was in my 20s. I actually try and filter out any place that has "Special NYE menus" - Now I just want a decent meal head back home at 8:30 and fall asleep while I watch the ball drop with some whiskey at hand. |
No no no. Half that restaurant will be full of me looking Asians taking photos of food, the other half will be instagram models with their rich daddy’s looking displeased at all us Asians foodies. No knobs. Just a lot of undertone racism and classism Aka my idea of a good time !!! |

NYC restaurant dubbed world's 'most romantic' is accused of seating Asian diners out of sight on second floor, away from large windows and white diners |
I went to a 3 star in Paris one of the most expensive and classiest meals I’ve ever been to period where they literally waited on you hand and foot, would pull the chair out for you, refold your napkin, provide new glasses for every single glass of wine etc. completely over the top in every aspect And the table next to us was a bunch of mainlanders with DSLR’s and street clothes |
I haven't even been to a 3-star but the 1-star I went to in Aix-en-Provence did the same. In Vancouver? They'll sooner spit in your face than do any of that lol. |

CANADAS ECONOMY IS IN THE SHITTER! Now which way to the nearest Michelin star tasting menu please? This is like a fucking Beaverton article lol. |
It's so easy to gaslight voters into making dumb decisions with statements about "the economy" |

As I’ve said before, back when I was going to dinners like these on a more frequent basis I had SUBSTANTIALLY more expendable income than I do now, and as a household we probably make 60-75k more now than we did then. The Reddit crowd loves the handout though, people too dumb to see what it really is I commented that we live in a welfare state and someone replied “yea well at least we’re not the US!! Uhhh..ok.. |
Well I mean, I am very fuckin glad we don't live in the US. I don't think the guys in this thread talking about restaurants are a bunch of gaudy mainlanders in gwagens but if that's civicblues he should really change his username to gucciwagenblues or something. Again, I don't want the handout either, but things are a solid medium here, pretty objectively when you look at numbers around the world and don't get wound up about rage pieces from either side of the aisle. |
"I wouldn't benefit from this tax break anyway" So maybe things have been going pretty good for you over the Trudeau term? But sure, let's elect a maniac instead, because "the economy" |
Yah, the $250 gift is for those with income < $150K which probably rules out 80% of posters here. |

Chips, booze, pre-packaged meals? Can it be used towards my trailer pad rental? TBH this whole thing doesn’t even feel like desperation to gain public favour it feels more like both Turd and Jagmeet realized that shit, people are in a baddd way like worse then you could imagine as I outlined previously with all the data for food bank usage, child poverty, etc. and they are throwing them a bone to maybe not be homeless for Christmas. |

I guess me and producer are the only ones that can afford to donate them though out of those sub 150k earners. |
i can afford it, but i hate people so fuck that noise. go die peasants !!! now if you wanted to donate to save chihuahua's or just dogs in general from horrible cancers fund, then you would have my support! |
yeah, I'm extremely hesitant to donate money because charities (even reputable ones) are often caught embezzling the money or using it inappropriately. people just can't help themselves when it comes to money. supporting dogs however, I can put myself behind that. even then, I'd rather put my time and efforts into such causes rather than just send a cheque. the dogs are innocent, it's the people I don't fully trust. |
They are also thinking of bringing in No fault insurance. The Alberta advantage baby. https://scontent.fcxh3-1.fna.fbcdn.n..._w&oe=6746A821 So Honda you said your insurance would the about the same in Alberta. Now it would be 7.5% higher then what you pay here. |
