Mass random stabbing downtown with almost certainly a homeless person shot as a result?

https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2024/1...-suspect-shot/

This is why we live hurrrrrr!!

God we’re turning into such a shit hole.

Cops blasted the guy a reported 10 times while he was behind the counter of the 7/11 there.

Crazy what happens when you constantly release mentally ill 100 time felons back into society, who could have possibly foreseen this???

Traum 12-04-2024 02:51 PM

You should add the brazen Luk Fook Jewelery store robbing in Markham to the list too~!

https://www.cp24.com/local/york/2024...jewelry-store/

The video of those guys smacking the display glass is pretty ging. Too bad those idiots got caught lol~

Hondaracer 12-04-2024 02:56 PM

There’s been 4-5 “random” stranger attacks in the lower mainland in the last few days.

As much as people waahhh wahhh wahhhh about the VPD etc. the cops are fucking SAINTS compared to the judges and politicians who enable this shit.

The perp is dead and the number of victims is 2 who are going to be ok. Looks more like an attempted robbery gone wrong.

Keep your panties on for this one.

Yeah, there have been stranger attacks for sure.

-gotta keep my head on a swivel as I work in downtown. People need to be aware of who is on theid surrounding area.

This perp in the video below sucker punched a guy on West Georgia street. You can tell that this guy picked a target, a small man, from the look he gives at the random person before he throws a hard punch at that man.

I agree with you Honda. Our judicial system is so soft. Something needs to be done at multiple levels of government to vastly improve public safety.

I am sick and tired of local politicians passing the buck and telling media that they need funding and help from other levels of government.

Mayor Sim, Premier Eby, and Turd do something!!

I work for a company with a thousand employees we have a couple different offices, one downtown.

We now get weekly updates about safety incidents and people breaking into the downtown office and “safety tips” on how to avoid violence.

My employer the federal government sent an all staff email today about the stabbing incident at the 7 Eleven.

Email mentions the provision of mental health resources for employees who may feel stress from these violent incidents happening in downtown.

Email mentioned that the federal government departments and other tenants in Library Square were close to facing a full building lockdown today if that suspect got anywhere near the grounds of the Library.

When site managers were ready to make the call to put the entire Library Square in full lockdown, that is when you know that shit got very serious.

2 blocks away from work for me. Surprised I didn't hear the shots when I went out back actually. Add it to the guy getting his hand cut off a couple months ago also 2 blocks away in a different direction. Honestly I think it's gotten worse yaletown area as far as threats to random people than it is on Hastings.

whitev70r 12-04-2024 06:29 PM

I feel these are the ones that police, doctors, or courts should be able to force into involuntary treatment. No need to discuss forcing 'avg' white collar addict to involuntary treatment per se ... there aren't even enough beds for those who voluntary want treatment but there has to be a Riverview or something like it to detain individuals who have violent tendencies and treat forceably. I'm assuming there are addiction and mental health issues here.

Traum 12-04-2024 06:43 PM

So here is a video of the actual shooting. Some people will find it very graphic -- personally, I didn't, but you see and hear the entire incident unfold within the limits of the camera's view. Watch it at your own discretion:

From the video, we can see and hear that:

- the officers gave verbal warning
- the officer then tased the person
- ** something happened that we cannot see from the video **
- VPD started firing, it was:

- pop
- pop
- pop, pop, pop
pause
- pop, pop, pop, pop
- pop
pause, with police running around the 7-11 to get behind the counter
- then one more pop

There seems to be a woman on the side with the suspect.

The City News reporting on the incident is as follows:

Dbone 12-04-2024 06:53 PM

Wait, so how many were slaughtered in this "mass stabbing"?

westopher 12-04-2024 07:14 PM

lol only one person was stabbed apparently.

Badhobz 12-04-2024 07:26 PM

OH MAN!!!! Hondaracer was right all along, BAN ALL THESE local white guy Canadians, they are ruining buddy-guy/Ching Chong nation.

Love it. Executed in 7/11

I’m sure it’s a multiple felon POS revolving door benefactor

Better dead than among the general populace.

We’ve created a society with no repercussions for your actions. I’ve been saying this for YEARS and now we’re seeing it come to a head.

Gonna get worse baby, what will change it? A mass killing?

JDMDreams 12-04-2024 09:24 PM

Yea he fucked around and found out, trying to rob gurdeep. Imagine leaving home country to make $17 an hour and get knife and shot next to. This is better than the revolving door bs we have.

noclue 12-04-2024 11:47 PM

Growing up I’d never heard of druggies attacking randoms until like the past 5 years. is there a new batch of meth that fries the brain into aggression?

Traum 12-05-2024 12:20 AM

I seem to recall "mental health" being one of the words mentioned in a news article that I read earlier today (regarding the 7/11 knife attack and police shooting).

When mental health and/or drugs are involved, the person is probably in a delirium for this type of thing to happen. Obviously I don't know anything about this dead suspect, but if you go back to the video, I think it is reasonable to deduce that the suspect is stuck in a delirium bcos the taser didn't really have much of an effect.

JDMDreams 12-05-2024 08:04 AM

Coming to a corner near you, maybe staring inside your $2m shack.

Psychopath’ convicted of sexual assault, manslaughter released in Vancouver:fulloffuck: and you think China is bad

The victim (the lady) got fucked.

The guy stabbed her in the eye, she had emergency surgery yesterday, likely to lose her eye entirely.

Glad that waste of air got lit up by the cops.

Hondaracer 12-05-2024 11:04 AM

Global just interviewed a store owner right beside the 7/11 in question

“They can do whatever they want, they can steal whatever they want, and there’s no consequences”

Canadurrrrr

They followed up that story with the epidemic of violence against healthcare workers

https://globalnews.ca/news/10901724/...ce-senate/amp/

30% of all injuries to healthcare workers and first responders are a result of physical violence

Why can’t we recruit people to these roles? Hmmm..

A woman who lost vision in her eye and can’t work, maybe ever again from a physical assault at Surrey memorial the perpetrator got 2 months in jail and was subsequently released.

That's awful, but where was this reported? Yesterday the cops were saying only one person was stabbed in the hand. The other was injured in a different way.

JDMDreams 12-05-2024 03:27 PM

There was also a video of this, luckily no one seems to be hurt.

Or the conducted energy weapon's barbs didn't imbed into the muscles to work. If one or both of the barbs missed or got stopped by clothing, it may be less effective.

We can't see it from the video angles available, but if the dude made a move
to stab the women trapped behind the counter, it'd be the reason to escalate to lethal force.

BC Cons already eating themselves from the inside.

Police board vice chair posted some "questionable" comments on social media as reported by CBC (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...ma-1.7391830):

Quote:

Of the screenshots shared to Reddit, one post discusses how "mass immigration" and "a growing aversion to assimilation" are "transforming Canada into a place where a shared identity is disappearing."

Another post questions Diwali celebrations at schools, saying the "push for secular education isn't about religion — it's about erasing Christian values from the lives of our children."

A third post references "gender transitions" while criticizing a "woke culture that pits children against their parents."

Another claims Christian values serve as Canada's moral compass and questions what would happen to the country if a different religion became more dominant.
Then a Conservative MLA backs the resignation saying:

Quote:

Elenore Sturko, the B.C. Conservative MLA for South Surrey and a former RCMP officer, said she thought it was appropriate for the board to accept Sakoma-Fadugba's resignation, adding that her comments were offensive, particularly to the transgender community.

"It comes down to trust," Sturko said. "When we have statements being made that erode the public's trust, or their comfort with their police service, it makes it that much harder on the front-line officers."
And now 13 Conservative MLAs send Rustad a letter criticising their own peer saying that an apology needs to be made to the former Vice-Chair.
