I too once bought into the fear over the religous right in the Cons, but Harper stuck to his word and I grew to respect his diplomacy much more after his time in office. I don't like Scheer, but the Cons have a track record of keeping abortion out of their crosshairs.

US citizens living abroad are required to file income taxes each year with the IRS, if Scheer didn't file his taxes annually with the IRS he would be breaking the law.

I think it’s not about the irony that he has dual citizenship and all the previous comments he made about dual citizenship is coming back at him.

Rather, it’s about the morality of Scheer. Think it this way... if he can go all out, has no compassion even to himself (when both he and Jean were dual citizens), in order to achieve something he wants/needs. What will he not be willing to do to become PM? And do we, as Canadian citizens, really want a person like this to be our PM?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like JT one bit... but I’d much rather have a person who doesn’t do much than a person who does too much when it comes to politics.
