If the VPD media liaison is there already, might as well.

This will be the funny part to watch. The con party of bc is very not cohesive in their views. Half of them are the make BC great again retards that think people are trans so they can go sexually assault kids in public washrooms and half are just pretty regular fiscally conservative people who think NDP is overspending. The tears in the fabric will happen very fast as it's not woven together properly at all.

Inside info not reported. Whenever I post info like that it's coming from friends that work in the force.

Traum 12-06-2024 09:57 AM

IIRC, VPD took this guy off the press liason duties for a while bcos he was involved in some sort of gender discrimination complain. I guess the complaint investigation must have been over, and the accusations probably didn't stick -- surprise, surprise...

So now he is back on press liason duties.

So the Trudeau government just banned .22 rimfire plinkers yesterday? :lol

They also plan to send these shitty guns to Ukraine?

Holy fuck.

War crimes with Canadian firearms are only ok as long as they happen far far away.

Guy is such a fucking clown.. given how long this “buy back” has taken I doubt anything will ever come from it by the time the election rolls around.

Law abiding citizens turn in .22’s when actual laws with teeth for crimes committed with illegal firearms are ignored? Great system.

mikemhg 12-06-2024 10:20 AM

It's just funny too, has anyone actually conducted a mass shooting with a .22 caliber rifle?

Hondaracer 12-06-2024 10:25 AM

That chick from that song I hate mondays shot her classmates with a .22

As I’ve always said, you want to eliminate gun crime? Make the penalties severe for even having a gun you’re not suppose to. Back in the day of the early 2000’s with the little viet gangsters and dial a dope operations I knew KIDS who rolled around with drugs and handguns they didn’t even know how to load. They’d be pulled over caught with zero repercussions like it was fucking insane.

Now a days I’m sure it’s the exactly same shit with all the EI guys. If the punishment was automatic 3 years in prison if you’re found with illegal firearms, you’d cut these situations in half over night.

There isn’t one firearm owner I know who is even paying attention to Trudeaus legislation anymore. Even if they posses these guns on these lists no one even cares. They aren’t going to be handing them in. I’d have to think the vast majority of firearm owners are the same.

pastarocket 12-06-2024 10:28 AM

The worst part of Turd's gun buyback program is the cost to us taxpayers for a program that has not bought back any guns.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/fede...guns-1.7045362

67 million bucks have been spent since 2020. No guns have been collected!

The federal firearm buyback program has cost taxpayers nearly $67.2 million since it was announced in 2020, but it still hasn't collected a single gun.

The program is designed to compensate owners of assault-style firearms that were banned by the Liberal government in 2020(opens in a new tab). Although many details of the program still haven't been revealed after four years, businesses and gun owners only have until the end of October 2025 to turn in, deactivate or dispose of outlawed weapons

Hondaracer 12-06-2024 10:38 AM

Hey, well that’s like 0.5 of a day of the Canada post strike so not so bad

I feel like the vast majority of Canadians and seemingly even Turd don’t even know how firearm sales work.. there is zero registry of non-restricted firearms.

Someone could have literally hundreds of the guns on these lists and no one knows.

This is so much wasted time and money on this program to keep trying to push this through because everyone knows Turd is a lame duck PM and don’t give a shit about this buy back program. I think most people would literally rather have the guns on this list sit in their safe and never be brought out again than give them to this program.

Kinda on the news now

One person was stabbed in the hand, while another suffered facial injuries, according to police.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...dead-1.7402572

mikemhg 12-06-2024 03:17 PM

Facial = lost eye.

whitev70r 12-06-2024 03:40 PM

damn, losing an eye sounds so much more serious than 'facial injury' ..that's just tragic and terrible on so many levels. This shit has got to be stopped and fixed!

Manic! 12-06-2024 03:56 PM

Every single #Conservative just voted in House against abortion rights.

Even as someone who fucking hates the cons, I have a hard time believing this without a single piece of information to back up the claim.

whitev70r 12-07-2024 06:29 AM

Well, right now, parliament is so dysfunctional. Cons exist just to be contrarians and vote against everything that Libs propose. The Libs could put forth a smaller government, reduce income tax by 10% bill and the cons would still vote against it. "It's not small enough." "we want 11% tax reduction."

Every MP is justing collecting paycheques and waiting for the writ to drop.

westopher 12-07-2024 07:52 AM

The thing is, what legislation about abortion is being tabled and why?
Like no one in house is voting on abortion being allowed/disallowed in parliament yesterday, so what was the actual vote on?

JDMDreams 12-07-2024 11:50 AM

So how does one become mp, I just want cushy job work a few weeks every season, + gov pension. I'll shake hands and wave to everyone too.

Hondaracer 12-07-2024 11:51 AM

Blow people on your way up and cater to special interest groups and the elderly

You don't want to be a MP you want to be a senator. Don't need to campaign, garrenteed position until you retire at age 75, fat salary and a fat pension.

But then you'll have to move to Ottawa?

For half the year .. when Parliament is in session, most MPs come home to their constituents.

And I am sure they get some sort of huge allowance for renting a place in Ottawa.
