I was pointing out that there are shit tonnes of right wing forums that would moderate left wing comments the same way.
Can you name some?
Swapping one echo chamber for another is no fun. They're all pretty much echo chambers now, in "right wing" spaces if you criticize Jordan Peterson at all, for example, you just get banned. Ridiculous. In the glory days off Digg and early Reddit, there were great conversations to be had and a healthy back-and-forth with people.
Nobody learns anything if their beliefs aren't challenged.
It was around the time of Tayvon Martin that things started to become SO polarized. Now there aren't any good places to debate and discuss, because people will just insult, block, report. I was posting things Fauci said himself, and posting the blank insert paperwork inside the Pfizer vaccine boxes, and sticking with the facts of the suspicious things happening at the Winnipeg lab.
And Facebook banned and deleted my 13+ year Facebook account and blocked me from downloading any of my photos or contacts. The censorship is completely insane these days.
That's how the system won, really. All of the forums and places where people are supposed to discuss and debate are just cheerleading squads for their respective teams, and if you point out any conflicts of interest within the captain of the cheerleading teams, you're turfed out!
See the whole Dallas Brodie situation. Her character is being attacked and completely drowning out the discussion that should be had. This is 100% part of the COVID playbook as any doctors that hesitated were absolutely roasted and tossed from their jobs.
The people in charge probably really, really want as many echo chambers as possible, because then it is much easier to control what is being said, discussed, and thought. Reddit, for example, is one of the biggest websites on the entire internet, and it is botted and thought-policed more than anywhere else. The Vancouver, B.C., and Kelowna subreddits are some of the most egregious examples of controlled speech, all by a handful of anonymous people. You always hear about people complaining about PostMedia and certain newspapers, but who controls what Canadians are allowed to talk about on Reddit?
Where is the conversation to be had about accountability for the billions of dollars flowing to Indian bands in B.C., and any accountability for the media who pushed the story with zero evidence other than the claims of a ground radar operator, who, I am sure, was well-paid.
Remember before COVID when we never heard the term "misinformation" and, during the scam of COVID, it was everywhere? Almost like the media in Canada, which got 600+ million dollar bailouts only less than a decade ago, are all bought and paid for...
I remember being skeptical of this at first, and I was kicked out of Facebook groups, unfriended, co-workers hated on me, and people went out of their way to find my books online and give them 1-star reviews. It was like this for COVID as well, and BLM too, of course. You either believed the TV, or you were a nazi batshit crazy nutjob loser, absolutely zero nuance.
One of the reasons why our society has been in such a steep decline is because people read the headlines, and those 3-5 seconds are enough for them to accept that as truth. Trying to discuss things with those type of 9-5 people is like talking to a brick wall that fucking hates you for being skeptical. How could the TV or the news be wrong?
How many boomers and 9-5 morons saw those headlines and immeditately accepted the idea that 215 bodies of children were found?
Now do COVID...
Even Jon Stewart let it slip, and, of course, he was attacked and called a conspiracy theorist.
^^^
Talking about what they were up to in Wuhan was considered nutjob, conspiracy lunacy until recently. Is anyone going to go to jail or be punished for this? Imagine what we'll find out about the "vaccine" itself in another decade or two.

Is this really learning though? Why not read history or study science or math? All this stuff I didn't quote is fuckin useless, it's just opinions about information in fields you're likely not an expert in but think you've latched onto the truth about something.
Imagine my shock when, during COVID, the organization handling "fact checking" on Twitter was Reuters. Well, if you looked up the board of directors at Pfizer, who was on it? There was one guy named Jim Smith... who just happened to be the former CEO of Reuters.
I mean, come on, conflict of interest at all?

Well who should it be man? Nobody is unbiased... no matter who or how many people you put in charge of "fact checking" someone is going to have a problem with them or their history or where their money comes from or their beliefs.
You just want the guy who supports YOUR beliefs in charge so it aligns with what you think right?
Adding in Larger Platforms (Active Users): X: ≈450 million monthly active users Telegram: ≈700 million monthly active users
→ Combined, these two bring the “reach” to roughly 1.15 billion
*(Note: These figures represent active user counts, not direct visits.)*
Reddit:
• ≈2.2 billion monthly visits
Conclusion:
Even if you generously aggregate these numbers—even mixing the differing metrics—the combined audience of these alternative platforms (~90 million visits + ~1.15 billion active users) is still significantly smaller than Reddit’s ~2.2 billion monthly visits.

Is it too much to ask for the ex-CEO of the head of fact-checking on social media to literally be sitting on the board of the company whose product is the one you're not allowed to be skeptical of?

Pfizer’s COVID Vaccine: The Biggest Pharma Jackpot in History
Pfizer didn’t just make good money off the COVID vaccine-they made insane money. Their 2022 COVID vaccine revenue alone ($37.8 billion) was bigger than entire industries, luxury products, and even some national economies. When you add Paxlovid, their total COVID-related sales hit $56.7 billion in a single year.
To put that into perspective, here’s how ridiculous these numbers are:
What Pfizer Made vs. The Biggest Money-Makers in the World
Apple sells approximately 200 million iPhones a year at an average of $1,000 each, bringing in $200 billion in revenue. To match Pfizer’s $56.7B COVID revenue, Apple would need to sell 56.7 million iPhones—that’s about 17% of the U.S. population buying a new iPhone just to match Pfizer’s pandemic profits.
A Lamborghini Aventador costs $500,000. To match $37.8 billion, Lamborghini would need to sell 75,600 Aventadors, which is 15 times more than they actually sell in a year.
A $10 million luxury mansion would need 3,780 sales to match Pfizer’s 2022 vaccine revenue. That’s like selling every ultra-luxury home in L.A., NYC, and Miami for several years straight.
A Boeing 747-8 costs ~$400 million. Pfizer’s COVID vaccine revenue alone could buy 94 brand-new 747s, enough to start an entire airline from scratch.
Pfizer's Real Win?
Before COVID, Pfizer’s entire annual revenue was $41B in 2019. Thanks to the vaccine, they more than doubled their business overnight. While other companies spend decades building up sales like this, Pfizer did it in months.
Whatever your stance on vaccines, one thing is undeniable: Pfizer hit the biggest jackpot in pharma history.
And if the USA invaded, I have nothing to lose. What are they going to do, take my 1993 Plymouth Voyager 5 speed minivan away?
What do Canadians fighting in Ukraine right now have to gain? If you want to be a coward that's up to you but many Canadians would rather die then become American.

What do Canadians fighting in Ukraine right now have to gain? If you want to be a coward that's up to you but many Canadians would rather die then become American.
What is the difference between Americans and Canadians? Basically nothing. I've been down in the USA a lot in my life, does not feel very different at all than Canada. Our cultures are already basically the same, same entertainment, music, etc etc... if America took over, what would change? I might be able to own guns? As far as healthcare goes, if any Canadian gets real sick, they don't stay in Canada if they can afford treatment in the USA. Ask Michael Buble where he went when his kid was sick. He didn't stick around in Canada for treatment, that's for sure!
Remember this guy?
Ask yourself... when was he living in Canada last... oh, right, he has a 20+ million dollar New York Penthouse and has been living in the USA for years.
As far as war goes...
Why do they always send the poor?
It's not about being a coward, it is about what is the best for me. Getting your balls shot off over imaginary lines on the ground when the sons of Trudeau and billionaires and millionaires are never going to be fighting in the trenches...
They'll be at home, safe, investing in stocks of arms manufacturers!

One of the most misunderstood aspect of serving in the military is how few soldiers actually work on the front lines. There's a term called "tooth-to-tail" which is the ratio of support staff for each front line soldier - for the US there's around 8 personnel supporting every soldier fighting at the front.
If someone were to join the fight the odds are most people wouldn't actually be "fighting" especially if you're older (I'd be given a desk job for certain). Would I join the fight? Yeah. Would they let a 49 year old man with a hearing impairment and bad vision fight? Heck no but if the country calls I'll help however I can (which is likely doing something like managing supply lines or being an analyst)

who here said canada has the best healthcare the money can buy in the world? are you as rich as buble? you're not making the point you think you're making
Canadians and Americans are basically the same people, to hear people say they'd send their sons and daughters off to get slaughtered by drones while the billionaires and oligarchs never lose their family members is absolutely insane.
NPC minds, yo!

I never said I'd send my daughter.
Like you said , what are they gonna do, take your van? Some of us have things we aren't willing to lose.
What would you lose? If Trump actually invaded Canada, things might actually change for the better. For many people, things already could not get much worse.
Keep in mind, we live in a country that, already, doesn't value life. We have open gulags on our streets that openly genocide our misfits and our poor.
Here's the 2nd drug-crisis music video I made... 60k+ views on Twitter before my account was nuked:
This whole US invading Canada is blown out of proportion and I actually think there is a different way to look at it.
There's a famous saying we use on both side of the border: united we stand, divided we fall. But this should go beyond the country border much like what EU did. EU is talking shit now because they unified and are able to push whatever agenda they feel on trade. They wanted USB-C across the board, even Apple had to give in. They wanted a common emission standard, done.
US and Canada's culture and general values are so close that it's sometimes hard to tell each country apart. And on a lot of things, there are common ground that could benefit both side of the border.
IMHO, US and Canada should form an NorAm alliance or something where it's similar in EU. Maybe not that extreme, but something where the border control is unified (for both human and goods) and industrial operations are simplified.
There are a lot to gain and lose almost nothing. Too bad our politicians are too busy doing "save face" thing than actually turning this into an opportunity.
Too bad our politicians are too busy doing "save face" thing than actually turning this into an opportunity.
Canadian politicians are so unbelievably fake and compromised.
The entire "elbows up" thing, the return of "Canadian Joe" and all the nonsense about "buying Canadian" is all PURE THEATRE. Completely fake. The politicians and elites are going to MAKE money off this "trade war", not lose it, while the masses of people are being manipulated like crazy.
Just think... observe... how many NPCs are dancing like puppets on a string now? The TV tells them to think one way, and millions of people instantly are activated to follow the narrative.
Not a single politician is going to go hungry. Not one.
Ask yourself... where were all of these Canadian patriots with statues all across this country were being torn down? All of the Canadians in this thread saying they'd fight Americans in a hot war... where were you when statues came down?
who here said canada has the best healthcare the money can buy in the world? are you as rich as buble? you're not making the point you think you're making
The woman I had a child with, her parents are BOTH specialist doctors.
Don't want to say much, but I've heard a lot of stories about cancer in this country. Someone goes to the doctor, says they have pain, a lump, whatever. They get an appointment with my baby momma's family member 1+ year in the future.
By the time they get to see the specialist, the cancer is already stage 4, or they're dead. Happens much more often than you'd think.
In the USA, if you could pay and see someone in a couple weeks, the cancer can easily be cured. If you have to wait 1+ year to see the specialist, you're fucking dead.

That's false. You can pay here too if you wish to go the private diagnostic route (I work for a private healthcare provider in Canada).
I just came back from living in Texas, the hospitals down there are atrocious, you'd be thanking your lucky ass you're Canadian if you saw the conditions down there.
A universal care system will always have waiting lists, it's baked into the system for equal standard of care.
Our problem now is that we've let too many people into the country without growing the system enough.
