The retard festival pushes up here causing a huge measles outbreak in ontario. I feel awful for the kids and their parents that have it due to being too young to be vaccinated or can not for any reason, and awful for the kids that have it cause their parents are too stupid to vaccinate them.

We're proven to be content paying $1.80 for gas why would oil companies leave that money on the table and not up the price? It might not be the day of but you can bet your sweet ass it'll get back up to what we're used to paying due to "refinery maintenance issues" in the coming weeks.
Remember, all these billionaires and elites are drooling at the idea of a pandemic 2.0 where everyone is in a panic, the USA and Canada suddenly hate each other, and the world order is completely different than just 4 years ago when EVERY WORLD GOVERNMENT folded so quickly and spread the American "vaccines" world-wide with extreme punishment for any skeptics. Then just a few years later, now we're supposed to go "elbows up" and fight the same brothers and sisters that we were "all in this together" with during COVID where everyone GOOD took the vaccine and if you resisted it, you are a terrible person!
Now the governments of the world want you to hate people in other countries, while as Canadians, probably 99% of this forum has more in common with the average car guy in a random state in the USA than Mark Carney or Little PP, yet our leaders want us to believe that Americans are the enemies.
This entire shitshow is 100% fake and gay, and Carney is itching to turn up the heat on Canadians in the name of "we're all fighting America together" as the emergency powers he needs will be granted... just watch.
Caught this Liberal video in my social feed and thought it was great so I started poking around to see what the Liberals and Conservatives are doing with their media and it's like the Cons are trying to throw the election to the Liberals in terms of their comms efforts. It's kinda shocking considering they've had the same team in place for a couple years and have known that an election was coming.
Neither party has any of their policy positions listed which is a shame - it's more understandable for the Liberals since they have a new leader, kinda baffling that the Cons have nothing.
The Liberals are mostly projecting optimism in tone - that just seems like Carney's style though - while the Cons barely touch on PP's personal story (which is a really good one) while it seems every 3rd tweet is about tax cuts. I think the Cons are really missing the boat on a message that resonates - we're being threatened by another country and their messaging is basically tax cuts for everyone. I don't know if they just feel they can't abandon their Maple MAGA supporters but they are certainly not doing themselves any favours.
There's so much material for the Cons to work with too - lots of failed Liberal policies, efforts, and scandals. It's baffling now that I've taken a closer look.

Controlled.
Opposition.
Little PP will get his pension and be set for life after being.... a politican his entire life.
Thinking Little PP is fighting for YOU is just as, if not more than, moronic than thinking the international banker guy who works for the billionaires and literal royalty... is on the side of the average Canadian!!! Bwahahaha!!!
ELBOWS UP!!! Bwahahaha.... hahaha... haha... ever notice all of the boomer women seem to be "elbows up" the most?

Bro... you are on the precipice of a mental paradigm shift. Just one little nudge and you're going to start to see the lies and bullshit everywhere.

Maybe if we keep our elbows up, the tariffs will magically disappear! carney's response so far to Trump has been absolutely lackluster. carney looked completely lost yesterday and he was looking at the Unifor president intently, awkwardly, but above all.... completely lost.
Future Prime Minister Poilievre said: “I want to start by condemning, without equivocation, the unjustified and unprovoked tariffs that President Trump has now announced against our auto sector,” he said. “These tariffs will damage his workers and his economy, just as they will damage ours.”
Poilievre went on to directly address workers in the auto sector, to lay out a plan to help them and businesses hurt by the tariffs and also spoke about the need to “build an economic fortress in Canada” and how to make that a reality.

The polls are saying that what Carney's doing and saying is landing great. Not only in popular voting but in nearly every sub category including who's better at dealing with Trump. PP is only beating Carney in lower taxes and is tied for job creation, Carney crushes him everywhere else. Rob Ford's chief of staff has come out and said that PP is losing huge (which explains why Ford has come out in support of Carney and told PP that his MLAs are not available to help the Cons).

You're so biased that you sound delusional.
It sounds like you have insufficient critical facilities.
Sure, you can look at the polls now and see they are neck-in-neck but carney doesn't have any sort of commanding lead. Once that new car smell wears off, you will be left with a dusty old 80s Hyundai Pony. You just can't fix a smashed car with new hubcaps. The Liberal party is a train wreck and they will continue to flounder.
carney's inaction on the tariffs and lack of communication with the Trump administration is what is going to sink him.
People care about actions, not words or stupid phrases like "elbows up." What is carney doing now to negotiate with the trump administration? Absolutely nothing. There is no plan. 75% of Canadian exports go to the USA.
That was exactly my thoughts. Anyone who is able to sock away an extra $5k on top of the current $7k limit means they are already in a very healthy place, financially speaking. So this essentially amounts to yet another perk for someone in the upper middle class that probably doesn't need the help.

The whole world has gone down a road no one can recover from, and it's nothing to do with governments, it's because so much of the general public is so fucking stupid.

An absolutely tone deaf announcement to make. This is a perk for a top 10% earner (~$120k or so in earnings). He's got a lot of drag b/c of Trump and people like Danielle Smith to deal with but the Liberals have barely even started punching at him - they're still doing the story of positivity and optimism (and winning on it) and mostly avoiding negative ads.
The campaign isn't run as poorly as the NDP but it's not doing great.
