lol please.. if this was literally any other politician people would be all over it given this is a car forum, the guy is driving a vette on the track etc.
Your personal dislike of him somehow turns it into analysis of his grip on the wheel and his track times lol..
The guy is a clown, but Carney is just as bad if not worse. Carney is more disconnected from your “average” Canadian even more than Trudeau was, as if that was somehow possible.

Nah, if Carney, Jagmeet or your sweetheart Justin pulled the same stunt they'd be rightly ridiculed as well. The main difference is they're not desperate enough to appeal to the dregs of society that would be impressed by a guy driving a corvette on an empty track.
He looks like a fucking fag even when he’s doing an Ollie … what the hell is an Ollie ?! I only vaguely remember terms from the old PlayStation cool boarders 2

Aight aight… lol ok
Really grasping at straws here for the sake of trying to be contrarian and stick it to us libtards.
The point isn't that he's driving on a track just by himself, which yes all of us would dream of doing. It's the fact that its so obvious he's trying so fucking hard to appeal to a certain group of people doing something completely inauthentic.
I don't care who it is, if my buddy who barely had any track time, spent all that money to buy out the track to make professionally edited video of him driving like shit, so he could flex on his instagram I would make fun of them just the same.

The guy could base jump off of Mt. Everest or any other objectively "cool" thing but wtf does this have to do with politics? What does it have to do with running a country? That's what's cringe, not the act in itself. Rather just seems like he's desperate for attention.
Politicians have always cosplayed as blue collar grunts since time immemorial but PP wants to cosplay as whatever the fuck this is?
I’m sure it was some sort of event with local leaders by the looks of pics I’ve seen on IG. Again the guy is a clown and the edited video is way too much, but I don’t think it’s such a transgression that he’s pandering to some specific crowd? lol
If that’s what this was its obviously reaching like no one with any sort of impact

If it was some local event with local leaders then it was really poorly produced. It should have been one of those "Hi, I'm here at so and so place where I'm meeting with such and such important person. We've been talking about blah blah important topic to voters. I happen to be here at blah blah and I grew up with a love of cars so I'm taking up this opportunity to try something new and get on track with this beautiful Corvette. It's a car I dreamed about as a kid..."
Photo ops are supposed to let politicians do something along the lines of:
1. Raise an important topic in a setting that's related to it.
2. Show some connection to the work or activity
3. Offer up a bit of humanity (personality, compassion, empathy, fun - something).
This video is a terrible example of all of that and it's a wasted opportunity.
The Cons seem to have a great ground game going but their social/media game is just god awful. In my area there are loads of Cons lawn signs and all but 1 Liberal/NDP signs (mine) but it's the total opposite online - the Liberals are doing great work while the Cons are virtually absent and when the do show up the work is terrible (stilted, negative, and out of sync with the mood of the country).

Did you get to page 21 of Carney's book yet?

If PP had wanted to do a cool video that would connect with common everyday voters -- or even car enthusiasts -- he should have borrowed a page from Tim Walz.
This is a relatable video and gets the political point across quite successfully.
As a piece of political advertisment, PP's Area 27 video is really, really meh.

To be fair that Trudeau thing wasn't an ad. Someone just took a pic.
But yeah, don't fucking pretend to be an Everyman and pose with a kitchen knife or a drill or some shit. It's clearly not genuine.

Man this last page is exactly why talking politics gets so boring at times, everything is a gotcha.
Old dudes that would have trouble making a 30-inch box jump shitting on an ollie, analyzing a dork holding a power tool, and how another dork pretending he's a "man" holds a steering wheel

This is such low hanging garbage.
Well, politics is a dirty business. Any person who has a career in politics faces the risk of seeing their lives, the good and bad parts of it, under constant media and public scrutiny.
Sometimes I remind myself why I don’t vote for NDP’s Jenny Kwan in my riding.
Jenny from the block has always been a corrupt bitch.
I posted this article on this thread a few years ago about Jenny taking money from the Portland Hotel Society. $35,000 for her Disneyland and European vacation expenses haha.
