So he'll ignore the Charter just like the Orange Guy ignores the Constitution but PP is not Maple MAGA? So he'll go hand out donuts and coffee to support and encourage Convoy protestors just like how the Orange Guy encouraged insurrection on J6 but PP isn't Maple MAGA?

Bus Driver Denied $84,000 Pension After Stealing $7, Japan's Supreme Court Decides

I'd never defend stealing on the job, but losing your retirement over the monetary equivalent of a stapler is a ridiculously disproportionate response from any employer. The Supreme Court of Japan decided on Thursday that a Japanese bus driver with 29 years of service rightfully lost his $84,000 pension after he was caught stealing $7 from the fare box. The 2022 incident was caught on dashcam, but the driver sued the city over the punishment's heavy-handedness.

The Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau discovered the theft while reviewing bus dashcam footage, according to CBS News. A group of five people entered the bus and paid a 1,150-yen ($8) fare. The driver pocketed the 1,000-yen bill handed over by a passenger. When questioned by a superior, the 58-year-old denied that he stole money despite the irrefutable evidence to the contrary. The driver was fired and filed a lawsuit after realizing he also lost his retirement package.

Which should be very concerning for people. Nobody should be starting with the nuclear option, nor normalizing using it so freely.

Costed platforms are coming out. Don't take the numbers too seriously on the surface as there are always lots of optimistic assumptions built into the plan and each party has a different degree of optimism/exaggeration (or outright lies). Treat what's presented as best case scenario.

Direct link to the Liberal platform: https://liberal.ca/platform/ (Edit: The link to costing doesn't work yet)

The Cons have said they'll have theirs out shortly.

PP has been campaigning and calling for an election for years now, but they still haven't released a platform when advance voting is already open?

Took you almost 2 years to come up with this nugget of brilliance? What other moments of excellent observational analysis you got?

Or are you bitter because your Tesla still hasn't arrived from the port strike? Or maybe because it's worth half what you paid for it now?

Cheers,

You're not wrong, Fat Smelly probably will, unfortunately I'm surrounded by mouth breathers in jacked up trucks and ancient white people here. There were a lot of red signs out though so I think it will be much less decisive than it has been in the past before I got here.

Which one of those groups do you identify with the most?

Also you might want to check the spelling of brutal.

Probably the same group as described below:

Many second-generation South Asian and Chinese Canadians plan to vote Conservative.

45 per cent of immigrants had changed their political allegiances since arriving in Canada, with many now leaning Conservative. Meanwhile, another national survey from January 2025 found that a majority of East Asian (55 per cent) and South Asian (56 per cent) respondents expressed support for the Conservative Party, far outpacing support for the Liberals or the NDP.

Well that covers it then doesn't it? Should be an 85% majority government for sure!

I'll put you in the scared of finances and anecdotally assuming Conservatives are somehow better at it / scared of criminals on every corner bucket with all the old white people then, as they best align with the groups you've mentioned.

68style 04-19-2025 11:52 AM

lol typical Con voter only talks in catchphrases and dishonesty.

Big words for a guy with a “Heritage” edition LC, just lapping up that boomer era design culture.

Badhobz 04-19-2025 12:49 PM

I don’t get why our politics is this divisive. Both cons and libs are middle of the road parties. Either or.

This isn’t like the wack ass Americans where one party is nazi and the other one is communists.

westopher 04-19-2025 01:17 PM

American parties are way closer than Canadian parties. Ones oligarchy driven fascism and one is oligarchy driven quasi fascism in a BLM t shirt.
