Like him, I was in and out in 10 minutes and so glad I don't have to worry about lining up if I had to go vote now. |
I heard the Coal Harbour Community Centre had lineups of up to 45 min yesterday but the Elections Canada office less than a 5 minute walk way on W Georgia Street had no one. |
Me and the wife went to vote today in Richmond. Took less than 10 minutes. That’s two more votes for the cons and plastic straw guy |
^^ so you're gonna let him tell you to bring home the homes, and he's gay if he gets his security clearance |
What he’s gay ?!?!? |
if go gay go forever gay |
Richmond will only vote Conservative for both its seats, it's a given. That dude actually isn't a bad guy I voted for him before. |
Con candidates in Richmond, Zach or Chak? What do u mean Richmond will only vote Con? Both seats are Lib incumbent, aren't they? Wilson Miao and Parm Bains. |
Tbf that ah mo has run Richmond since 2008, her face burned into my memories. :accepted: |
The Cons media campaign has been just awful - it worked when the vote was being split between the NDP and Liberals and the approach was to get 38% of the vote to win but this kind of media of two old white guys playing golf lamenting their lives only lands with that 38% and not with the folks you want switching over. The Andrew Scheer commercial makes him look like a creepy date rapist too - how are women supposed to be interested in the Conservatives with this kind of crap? |
Went to advance voting in my area yesterday. Was in and out in about 10 minutes. Most of the waiting was because the lady at our polling station was slower than a snail. |
I voted on Friday. Took 10 minutes in & out. Would have taken 5 min but the guy helping me was slow as syrup. Going through the candidates in my riding, i learned the NDP candidate got her Comp Sci degree @ CDI KEKW |
Voted! Also took 10 minutes. Also could've been 5. They were super fast. Except I was so excited to vote that my checkmark flew out of the circle and they had to have a quick huddle to discuss wtf to do with me because they'd never seen something so stupid. A line began to form at my station. They wound up having to make me a new ballot. I was that guy. |

Gosh our advanced voting station was a gong show. I arrived at the polling station some time after 2pm? There were 6 lines in total, separated by last names and the assigned voting station number. I think the last name splits were all done with A-L as one group, and M-Z as the second group. For some reason, 2 of the A-L groups were the only 2 that had line ups. All the other lines were clear. But since each line corresponded to a single person checking your name against a name list, it meant those 2 lines were excessively slow. (And of course I was in one of the slow lines.) I think there were 10 - 12 people ahead of me when I arrived. It ended up taking a solid 40min+ before we finished voting. I don't know why things were so slow this time. I've been to both advanced and regular voting before, and the process seems largely the same -- somebody checks you manually against a big paper list, crosses your name off, and off you go to vote. However, it has never been this slow before. |
