1) first time liberal might win whcih is really interesting if they do as it'll be a long time in power
2) PP is a tool but I'm just happy he led - cause previous guy aaron Otool was really boring and a tool. Then again, harper wasn't that much better.
3) I never would have thought Liberal could come back and maybe win.
b) wife and I both discussed how politics is fun. Freeland never wanted to run but you have to have someone to run against Carney JUST to showcase there is somewhat a choice.
c) Freeland and Carney are actually SUPER good friends, as Carney is god father to Freeland's kids.
It's really close call and to see PP go up from SUPER 1000% support without even needing to campaign to win to now back down to 38%.
Lastly, never woudl have thought NDP would be down to so little seats that J singh might lose party status is a first for me.
let's see how this works out! Go vote

If o'toole was still party leader this would be better for the cons. The more moderates would find it an easier pill to swallow.
I want a boring politician. These spicy political leaders are a fucking problem. Inflammatory, obnoxious people are not good leaders in any capacity. Being loud isn't the same as being charismatic.

Ok, unrelated:
Spain-Portugal power outages live updates: Countries hit with massive blackouts affecting travel and commuting
Airports, shops and officers have been affected across Spain, Portugal and parts of France. https://www.nbcnews.com/world/spain/...-ha-rcna203274
What to know:
A huge power outage is affecting large parts of Spain and Portugal today, including both countries' capitals, Madrid and Lisbon, according to various reports and official accounts.
Airports have been disabled, and shops and offices are in the dark. It is unclear how many people have been affected. Parts of France were also briefly hit.
The Spanish government is holding an emergency meeting in Madrid. Getting Spain's power network back online could take up to 10 hours, the power grid operator has warned.
The Spanish power company Red Electrica said in a post on X that it was gradually recovering power in the north of the Iberian Peninsula.
We have some family friends in Portugal and we haven't been able to get in touch with them. They've been unable to respond, so likely impacted by this.

Make sure you take your 3 hours off and only work from 10 am or get off at 4 pm. Or your boss can get fined and go to jail. https://globalnews.ca/news/11095128/...2025-vote/amp/ |

Just so i'm clear, PM can win but still with less seats correct?
343 seats in the House of Commons 172 seats needed for a majority, can a PM win with less seats?

Of course, the PM is the leader of the party with the most seats in the house.
Possible that it could be minority government if they call the race so close.
Eg.
Cons 160
Libs 154
Bloc 20
NDP 8
Green 1
All hail PP as PM. CBC projects a Lib Majority, let's see how close they are:
Lib - 189
Cons - 125
Bloc 23
NDP 5
Green - 1

Voted today. Took less than 5 min. The voting location was in a mall in an empty sears location. Tons of parking. The best voting location I have been to.
