^I agree. The Conservatives have shown no reason that they are currently fit to lead a McDonalds right now. I do believe we could see JT replaced with a new leader, though. Too much baggage and water under the bridge for him at this point, too much ammo for the Torries to use to discredit him. Chrystia Freeland would be a perfect replacement IMHO. |

^ I'd vote for dat. Get our own hot PM. |
I think most people would agree with that. I vote liberal because they are the only party other than the cons. They align with my values much more than them, but if NDP had a plan whatsoever I assume I’d align more with them. That said it pained me to vote for Trudeau last time, and it will hurt even more the next, but I can all but guarantee that my opinions of him being careless in his leadership, don’t nearly outweigh my disdain for the alternatives. |
must be in the minority here cause I don't agree with Chrystia Freeland -at all- |
While I agree that Chrystia Freeland would be a far better pick than Trudeau as PM, I can't see any reason why Trudeau would willingly give up his PM seat right now. Yes, his name has been dragged through the mud, but as Mike was saying, the Conservatives have consistently shown that they are in no position to govern. FailFish So if Trudeau can still enjoy a safe margin of winning, why would he willingly step down on his own? And who can pressure him into stepping down when he could still comfortably take the next win at the federal election? If the Cons were putting up a tight race, then I can see how the Liberal Party would consider / force Trudeau to step down, and let Freeland take up the party banner. But that is not what we are seeing right now. |
Need a mutiny on the Bounty ...but don't see that happening. And damn, he's still so young, retirement not on the horizon. He could *gag* become one of the longest serving PM's. |

Should I really be caring about any of that? The yoga example just underlines how completely out of touch the turds are in general. |

Please. People can’t even care about their neighbours here when it comes to their actions during covid etc. I’m not going to feign sadness for something that I’m completely disconnected from. Btw, if you want to talk about human rights look no further than ya boy Turd who has to tip toe around chinas genocide of the Uyghurs. There’s a home grown example for ya |

Frankly I don’t exactly care that much about it as I’m completely checked out on this joke of a government. But it just adds to how tone deaf one can be in her case. |
I just don't get what the issue is. It's like being mad your neighbour invited you in for a cup of tea after a car accident and being like, well what about my fucking car? She has no power, she's just a rich person, like every other politicians spouse/partner everywhere on the planet basically. This isn't any more prevalent in this govt than any prior, you're just going out of your way to look for it because you dislike them already. It's like the guy at work who everybody blames for shit. Eventually, no matter what they do everyone has a problem with it, right or wrong, and there's no logic in it anymore. |
